Mix Pair Share: Learning Fractions with Fun & Teamwork! Today’s Grade 4 math lesson on fractions used Mix Pair Share, a Kagan Cooperative Learning strategy, to get everyone engaged and learning together! With fraction cards and lively music, students explored, discussed, and shared ideas with teammates in every corner of the classroom. By the end, students practiced independently, while I provided support and led a class discussion to clear up any confusion. It’s amazing to see how effective structure and teamwork can make learning math fun and interactive! #CooperativeLearning #MixPairShare #ActiveLearning #EngagedClassroom #MathInAction #FractionFun #PrimaryEducation #Teamwork #MathSkills #InteractiveLearning #TeacherLife #Grade4

Daydreaming. When a child's days are over-programmed, when the mind and body are over-stressed, and when technology over-stimulates, there is neither time nor capacity for daydreaming. More shocking still, some children are not even aware of HOW to daydream! At The Learning Garden, Visualization Training is an integral part of all Academic Therapy and Customized Tutoring programs. An exciting byproduct of this training? Our young clients tap into, and develop, the same part of their brains that is responsible for both daydreaming and meditation!
