Director Strategy & Business Development - CARGO START

It was a privilege to engage with trade facilitation experts, policymakers, and international associations at the 43rd UN/CEFACT Forum in Rome last week. The event was a dynamic hub of collaboration, tackling global trade challenges across all transport modes and driving key initiatives forward.    Discussions highlighted future trade priorities: accelerating digitalization, standardizing data, building robust frameworks, fostering strong partnerships, and commitment to sustainability.    One of the key initiatives promoted by UNECE through UN/CEFACT is the Single Window, which plays a crucial role as a one-stop solution for information exchange between traders and government agencies.    In the maritime sector, the International Port Community System Association IPCSA - International Port Community Systems Association is championing the implementation of Port Community Systems (PCS) platforms to integrate with national single windows and streamline electronic information exchange across port communities.    What about the cargo sector? No doubt our industry is leading the way with digitalization and data exchange standards, with initiatives such as International Air Transport Association (IATA)’s ONE RECORD. However, the next crucial step is to further promote the implementation of Airport Cargo Community Systems (ACS) to align with the Single Window model.     We look forward to industry associations leading this call to action. At Cargo Start, we're ready to step up and make a difference!    Together we go digital!   #TradeFacilitation #DigitalTransformation #GlobalTrade #Collaboration #Innovation #SingleWIndow #aircargo #AirportCargoCommunitySystem
