Here's why ⬇ According to a joint survey by USAA and SHRM, 46% of employers say veterans don't self-identify their veteran status on recruiting forms. Effective talent strategies are only as good as the data used to support the decision. If 30-50% of Veteran data isn't visible, employers are building their strategy with half of the deck. Self-identifying your status is a critical part of an employers ability to build effective hiring and retention plans (and for accurate data to be shared with agencies like the BLS, DOD and VA). It is ILLEGAL for discrimination to occur based on veteran status for all protected veterans (which is almost all veterans current-state). While sadly, bias and discrimination still happen, there are people in your corner. And those folks in your corner need good data 💪 😃 #data #hiremilitary #militarytransition
