Oregon offers state heat pump rebates for renters, homeowners and businesses, along with the Portland Clean Energy Fund and utilities’ programs. And the state’s energy department just got millions to increase workforce and contractor trainings. But there is more work ahead in the legislature and PUC next year to remove barriers, invest $ in incentive programs, and keep electric rates affordable!
Heat pumps are gaining market share, but still need a full-court press from government and the private sector to cut carbon and energy bills for more U.S. households — and Trump 2.0 won't make that easy. Here's how heat pump advocates plan to take on 2025, with a big focus on the states that are setting the pace for clean heat at a grand scale: https://lnkd.in/gD5EYA-q

All indications show heat pump installations are on the rise ⬆️ Canary Media Inc.’s latest article, “Yet another reason why heat pumps are awesome: health benefits” gives us more reason to anticipate this continued adoption. As mentioned in the article, “Under the Inflation Reduction Act, federal tax credits can cover up to 30 percent of the cost of heat pump installations, while home rebates can cover up to 100 percent of the cost for low- and middle-income households.” These funds will benefit not only the homeowner, but also the contractor and utility programs as well. 🙌 AM Conservation is excited to announce the launch of our Turn-Key Air Source Heat Pump Program. Featuring hardware from national brands and a fully installed solution, it makes launching or expanding efficiency and electrifications programs cost effective and easy for utilities and state energy offices alike. Energy-efficient home improvements reduce energy consumption, lower utility bills, and decrease environmental impact. Popular upgrades include high-efficiency HVAC systems, improved insulation, and solar panel installations. These improvements must meet specific criteria, such as Energy Star certification or minimum efficiency standards, to qualify as energy-efficient. Homeowners can save up to 15% on heating and cooling costs through air sealing and insulation upgrades. https://lnkd.in/gAc6a_CZ
