This Thanksgiving, I can’t help but pause and feel incredibly grateful for the LinkedIn community that makes my journey so meaningful. A few months ago, I received the LinkedIn Top Voice badge a milestone that still feels surreal. I started creating content with one goal: to share knowledge and experiences that could help other people. At times, it feels like my words just float into space. Writing can be one-sided you put your thoughts out there and wonder if anyone truly connects with them. But then, moments happen that make it all worth it. Over the past few weeks, people have told me things like, “Your post helped me get started with system design,” “I had a similar experience while working, and your story reminded me of that,” or “I really like what you’re doing, and I want to do that too.” Hearing this means so much. Along the way, I’ve also made some amazing friends, and these conversations inspire me to keep creating content that matters. This Thanksgiving, I just want to say thank you. To everyone who reads, reacts, and shares their thoughts on my posts your support fuels me. Whether it’s a comment, a like, or even silent encouragement, it all matters. Creating content isn’t about chasing numbers or badges. It’s about connection - bridging experiences and sharing knowledge that can make someone’s path a little clearer. It's so easy to stay in grind mode all the time. But sometimes, the most productive thing you can do is to simply take a break. 𝙏𝙪𝙧𝙣 𝙤𝙛𝙛 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙥𝙪𝙩𝙚𝙧. 𝙋𝙪𝙩 𝙙𝙤𝙬𝙣 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙥𝙝𝙤𝙣𝙚. 𝘿𝙞𝙨𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙣𝙚𝙘𝙩. Why is it so hard for us to step away? 1. 𝗪𝗲 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗹 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝘄𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗼: Our brains tell us that success comes from constant effort and that every moment counts. We worry that if we step away, we’ll fall behind or miss opportunities. 2. 𝗪𝗲 𝗲𝗻𝗷𝗼𝘆 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗲 𝗱𝗼: Many of us are passionate about our work, which makes it hard to stop. When you love what you do, it’s easy to convince yourself to keep going, even when you need rest. But here's the truth: taking a break is not a sign of weakness or laziness—it’s a strategy for long-term success. Stepping away allows you to recharge, reset, and come back with fresh ideas and renewed energy. So today, I challenge you—take a break. Even if it’s just for a few minutes. Your work, your business, and your well-being will thank you for it.

So that I did! 💜 I share my favorite moments, what keeps me going, my strategy in developing my team and my response to the ever popular question: what advice would you give to someone wanting to get into the event industry. This year has been nothing short of a major blessing - the yeses, the nos, the not quite yet. The successes, the fail forwards. The anxiety inducing moments, the overwhelmingly joyous moments that brought tears. I won’t trade any of it! I even had my most “viral” post on LinkedIn this year, still 🤯 about that! Speaking your truth has value. Holding your boundaries has value. Knowing who you are has value. Honouring who is responsible for it all brings more value! 🙏🏾 Thank you to everyone who has left a comment, shared my posts, shared their feedback when we met up in person and very importantly, those who invested in my services. 😃 Things are baking at TCJ Events and I can’t wait to share. What is one piece of advice that has profoundly influenced your professional life? A quick note to say Thank You to all of you! Just the other day, I declined some business. My background was not the best suited to help the customer. I recommended a colleague, with much better experience - who I met on LinkedIn. Result?  Happy customer, happy colleague.  Win, win & win! But wait, who’s the 3rd win? That would be me, of course. Here’s why 👇 I was able to help solve the customer's problem and give some business to a colleague. In my last post here which got over +8000 impressions (😯), I mentioned to be back to share some bits from some side projects I've been working quietly in the corner. And here I am, between "You should be proud" and "Man... really?!"; announcing the first post of my writing series. After many hours of brainstorm and burned brain cells, I chose the title "Trail to Thrive" for this series, resembling the life journey we are on, knowing I am not the only one on the way, some behind and many ahead. My goal is to share my learnings on certain topics that I outlined in my post, some through testing proven tools and concepts out there and some through sweet and/or bitter personal experiences on the way, hoping to trigger an easy action (where needed) to create a positive change regardless of scale/magnitude.
