What is your experience of working with Saudi Arabia? There is no doubt that The Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud's ambition is to put KSA firmly on the global stage. Did you watch the Fury v Usyk fight at the weekend? Packed to the rafters with A-List international celebrities and the biggest heavyweight fight in 24 years hosted in Riyadh. Vision 2030 Tourism target figures are for 130 million tourists to visit and it's worth noting that this figure was recently upgraded from the earlier figure of 100million reached seven years ahead of target. UK exports to KSA has seen a 20% increase in one year. The GREAT FUTURES campaign is a major collaboration between UK industry, tourism, education and culture and the UK Government’s GREAT Britain and Northern Ireland Campaign. Held this month, the aim was to show how the UK can partner with KSA to deliver Vision 2030. This is a place of opportunity and there is much to consider, including how to work with a culture significantly different to our own. Routes to market to consider if you are new to the Kingdom are collaborating with companies who have a local footprint and the UK government's Department of Business & Trade who are keenly focused as this initiative shows. A 2 GW electricity savings is comparable to the total or half of electricity generation capacity of countries or regions. Here are some examples of Middle Eastern countries with similar or close electricity generation capacities: 1. Bahrain: Bahrain’s total electricity generation capacity is around 3-4 GW, primarily from natural gas-fired power plants. 2. Lebanon: Lebanon’s installed electricity generation capacity is approximately 2-3 GW, although operational capacity is often lower due to fuel shortages and infrastructure issues. 3. Jordan: Jordan’s total electricity generation capacity is about 4-5 GW, mainly from natural gas, renewables, and oil.
