"It is encouraging that politicians of all parties recognise the issue that we as a nation face. The housing crisis is there for all to see and the need to tackle head on to help to enhance the future prospects and prosperity of millions up and down the UK, is also acknowledged across the political spectrum." "Yet, despite the local election discourse and as evidence of the urgency of our housing crisis continues to mount, there remains a sense across the housing sector that we are being made to sit and wait for the general election and either a renewed mandate or change of government before meaningful action is taken. While we wait for this, our housing crisis deepens, and we find ourselves working ever harder to tackle the growing challenges we face as providers." #housing In Housing Today, the chief executive of Metropolitan Thames Valley Geeta Nanda OBE, discusses the issues surrounding the undersupply of homes and how the nation can reach a position to tackle the housing crisis. https://lnkd.in/eb2GxAnn
