While public health and #transportation are two distinct disciplines, both rely on community engagement, use data to inform decisions, pilot projects to inform future decisions, and ultimately work to keep populations safe. This research report found #publichealth entities were involved in assessment, policy development, and assurance for Vision Zero (VZ) initiatives. Integration of public health into VZ efforts will enhance the success of overlapping goals from each discipline related to improved #publicsafety and ultimately a reduction in serious and fatal traffic-related crashes.
