🌟 What are your favorite local businesses in your area? Do you know the best ways to support those small and local businesses other than just shopping there? The local businesses you frequently shop at are one of a kind; that’s exactly why you shop there, so it's important to do what you can to support them and grow their business! Word of mouth marketing is a small business' best friend. They are already doing everything they can which is why, us as consumers, should be promoting our favorite local shops as much as we can! Plus, it takes less than 5 minutes to support and promote your favorites. Start by posting a link to their website in the comments below! Here are the easy ways you can support & promote your favorite small businesses: 1. Leave a review on their social pages & Google Head to their Facebook page (or search for the company on Google) – click leave a review – and write a few sentences on why you keep going back. Customer reviews are a major part of whether a new customer decides to shop there or go somewhere else; your words matter. 2. Check in & tag them on your socials It’s basically like leaving a review just on your own page for your followers to see. Make sure to tag them so your friends can easily find the company’s page. 3. Repost & share their posts This one is pretty self-explanatory. Share their posts to your feed and add the posts to your story. 4. Recommend them to your friends & family Words of mouth goes a long way in promoting the small businesses you love. Even better, take them along with you the next time you shop there. 5. Lastly, keep shopping there! You may even become friends with the workers there, which creates an even better business to shop at! Not to mention, the small businesses you promote will absolutely LOVE if you do these 5 things for them! Doorknock 2.0 is live!!! Here is my reaction seeing our new website live for the first time - I’m so so so happy! 🥳 (and relieved). This is a milestone that our team have been working towards for weeks! Context: When building a service like Doorknock you need to start small and simple, and slowly add features (Rule: Don’t bite off more than you can chew). - We launched early this year with what we called “The Skateboard” (limited features and very manual for the user) - We’ve been working hard on “The Scooter” (still manual, but a few more cool features and automations) - but that was taking too long… - So we stripped Doorknock right back - making it even more simple! We’ve taken most of the website features away (where our users find their own homes on our map and write their personalised message to the owners, etc) and replaced it with this: “The Rollerblades”!!! The “Rollerblades” is effectively a beautiful landing page with info and videos about Doorknock - with a simple form where users tell us what they are looking to buy 👌 Users now visit our site and tell us what they are looking for (price, suburb, bedrooms, etc)…. And then I step in and do all the heavy lifting for them (not our website). Our new service: 1. Tell us what you’re looking for 2. We’ll build a list of homes that match your criteria + you refine it 3. You write a personalised letter, which we have hand delivered to each address. We take zero commission, don’t get involved in the negotiations, and it’s only $2.50 per Doorknock. How much would you pay for a real estate site that gets over 132k views of your #restaurant (not just the traffic that goes by)? Would you maximize the visibilty of that location by adding pylon sign, lighting, etc? In digital age, we have a few major highways like Google Business listing. It generate can generate massive views, brand awareness, and sales. But #restaurant #operators ignore it. The cost to optimize the visibility of the restaurant in physical world - tens of thousands of dollars. To do it on digital highway like Google Business listing - it is FREE. ✅️ Google how to enhance your business listing; spend a couple of hours to do it; review it once a quarter to keep it updated. If you can't do it yourself, hire someone to do it for cheap from sites like upwork.com.
