The #HealthChallengesCongress organized by #RynekZdrowia took place in Katowice. One of the most important healthcare conferences was a place for discussion about the challenges, which included the development of medical technologies and equipment supporting the work of specialists. The event was attended by key decision-makers (including the Minister of Health Ms Izabela Leszczyna) and representatives of the healthcare sector, including #FamedŻywiec. In our opinion, the challenge we constantly face is the issue of providing more specialized ICU and electric beds in hospitals. For example, Poland recently had 6.9 intensive care beds per 100,000 people. inhabitants, while, for example, in the Czech Republic or France it is 11.6, and in Germany, it is 38.7. This topic has appeared in public discussion but has not yet been implemented. We believe the funds from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan will allow us to implement the changes announced in the Hospital Modernization Fund. Modern equipment is important for more efficient functioning of the entire system. See the video summary of the event by RynekZdrowia.pl

Last week's Hospital in the Home Society of Australasia conference was full of fascinating insights, including from Michael Holland and David Nicolás Ocejo (see image below). Dr Holland highlighted the crucial role HITH services can play in helping reduce the burden on public hospital emergency departments (hence the government's recently announced $31.4 million investment in HITH: https://lnkd.in/gzhiYJ3J). Keynote speaker Dr Ocejo talked about the successful impact HITH has had on the Spanish healthcare system since it began in 1989. Spain now has 126 HITH units taking a multidisciplinary approach to healthcare at home that is paying dividends. Integrated, multidisciplinary care is a hallmark of Vitalis' Hospital in the Home service. Learn more here: https://lnkd.in/gcg9NZwR

The Healthcare Week Luxembourg 2024 (#HWL24) once again demonstrated its vital role as a platform for collaboration and innovation in the healthcare sector.
