With the University Hospital of Geneva HUG - Hopitaux Universitaires de Genève and the Canton serving as host, this global event will take place from 10 to 13 November 2025 in Geneva, Switzerland. Last week's Hospital in the Home Society of Australasia conference was full of fascinating insights, including from Michael Holland and David Nicolás Ocejo (see image below). Dr Holland highlighted the crucial role HITH services can play in helping reduce the burden on public hospital emergency departments (hence the government's recently announced $31.4 million investment in HITH: https://lnkd.in/gzhiYJ3J). Keynote speaker Dr Ocejo talked about the successful impact HITH has had on the Spanish healthcare system since it began in 1989. Spain now has 126 HITH units taking a multidisciplinary approach to healthcare at home that is paying dividends.
