California End of Life Option Act Join us on Dec. 18 for our new webinar, “An Update on the California End of Life Option Act for Facilities” that will provide essential information and practical skills to respond responsibly and compassionately to facility residents requesting hastened death. The California End of Life Option Act went into effect in mid-2016. Since that time, more than 4,000 Californians have accessed medical aid in dying. In 2022, amendments to the law, which loosened some of the procedural requirements and shortened waiting periods, went into effect.
