The GREENTECH FESTIVAL brought together action-oriented mindset and innovative solutions in the energy transition and sustainablility. The founders and partners shared a bold vision: “We must radically rethink our entire system. The way we do business, the way we interact, our values and even our individual and collective aspirations. Let’s rebuild with compassion. Create systems that leave nobody behind, that give back more than they take and are in balance and in harmony with nature”. Key take-aways: - There is a need for multi-faceted collaboration across industries, skills and disciplines. - Impact investment case is also a successful business case. Both objectives must be met. - Radical decarbonisation is the only way forward. We need to re-train our brains to think differently about change. - Traditional industries are too slow to adapt their business models. New generation greentechs are capable of bringing the solutions but need innovative financing and skills scaling at speed. - Carbon markets do not work today in the way they intended. We must re-structure the model for integrity and impact. - AI will not solve climate change. We know the problems we need to fix, we need to start working on them now - decarbonising, and most importantly avoiding waste. Ingenie’s Chief Executive, Tatiana Collins, presented a sharp and candid view on the root causes of the growing environmental impact from AI, and how to balance its potential for revenue growth through responsible investment. Tatiana Collins shared Ingenie’s purpose: “In today’s AI generation our mission is to decarbonise the world’s largest technologies. We constantly research, test and implement new ways to make technology and AI systems cost- and eco-efficient. We do this by measuring the baseline of a system, product or a set of systems and identifying inefficient use of data.” #GTFConnect #Sustainability #GreenTech #CircularEconomy #ClimateAction #GreenAwards #StartupInnovation #ecoresponsibility Dale Rickert PhD Sumei Sun Robin Hicks Bernard Leong Michael Sheren Christopher Engman Janne N. Great article. When it comes to innovation, people focus to much on revolution, and not enough on *evolution*. It's easier and more sustainable to improve existing processes, products - even people! - than to start from zero.

Redigo Carbon, as climate change accelerates, evolving regulations and growing demands from customers and key stakeholders make business #decarbonization an urgent necessity. Modern companies increasingly recognize that the responsibility for protecting the environment falls on them as well. Decarbonization refers to the process of reducing or eliminating carbon dioxide (CO₂) emissions and other greenhouse gases from a company’s operations. In #business, this means transforming processes, including supply chains, transportation, and energy sources, to minimize the overall carbon footprint. While the concept sounds simple, the path to decarbonization is complex. Businesses often face significant hurdles, such as collecting reliable data, especially if they haven't been tracking their emissions before.
