The Little-Mod – one of our newest projects – is bringing something new to Minnesota. We’re bringing co-living to St. Paul. A housing typology often seen on the coasts, it's coming to the West Seventh neighborhood of St. Paul as an urban infill development. This project has us excited, to say the least. According to mizoningatlas.org, "Zoning laws dictate what can be built across the State of Michigan; they have a tremendous impact on our economy, the environment, and our society." Carlisle | Wortman Associates understand how zoning laws determine what municipal leadership can actually implement within their communities. And, as always, acquiring the most accurate data to support all initiatives is imperative. It's for that reason we'd like to share that on November 14 at 3pm, the Michigan Association of Planning, in partnership with Housing Next and the Taubman College of Architecture + Urban Planning, University of Michigan, is hosting an informative webinar to present the "Zoning Atlas, an exciting new concept (with the) goal (of mapping) the entire state of Michigan (to better) understand, for the very first time, the legal capacity for new housing in (Michigan)." It feels like we’ve been planning this panel for 18 months (wait! we have been planning it this long). But the day is tomorrow and the event is sold out. Missing Middle development is like Walkability. It’s how our cities were created. It’s the bones of every beloved neighborhood in Denver. Yet, like all other successful city building blocks it has been engineered out, zoned out, priced out, and deemed illegal. Tomorrow we will unpack why that is and how to bring it back. I only hope that the new Denver administration and the City Council act on the 2019 Blueprint Denver policy recommendations and implement Missing Middle housing throughout the city. #CityForAll https://lnkd.in/gTpPtsQM

Working on the Atlanta Bowen Homes redevelopment is a reminder that real estate is about more than just building structures—it’s about understanding the significance of the land and the communities it once served. This 74-acre site has been overlooked for years, but now it’s poised for a meaningful transformation. Securing the competitive HUD Choice Neighborhood Implementation Grant wasn’t just about meeting criteria; it was about recognizing the value of the project and the impact it will have. Success in this industry requires more than just financial capability and technical know-how. It demands a deep respect for the history and potential of the spaces we develop. When you approach a project with that mindset, you’re not just executing a deal—you’re making a lasting impact. Subscribe: https://lnkd.in/eXgppuZZ
