With holiday planning coming up soon, we're reflecting on some of our favorite community programs at Chief Carriers. These initiatives, deeply rooted in our company's values, have a special place in our hearts. One such program is Wreaths Across America, a cause that resonates with our commitment to honoring Veterans. As Mandee Lade, our Driver Recruiter, shares, "I love what Wreaths Across America stands for and the impact it has on our community." Another important tradition is our Adopt a Family program, where we come together to support families in need during the holidays. As Mandee explains, "It's incredibly rewarding for our employees, our company, and the community." We can't wait to get these programs going again soon! They embody our passion for giving back and making a positive difference, and they brighten our holidays every year. What's your favorite annual community event at Chief Carriers or in the Grand Island community? Let us know in the comments below. #CommunityEngagement #PassionForPeople #LeadLikeChief

Today might be a day you don't understand. I am reminding myself that fear is our greatest barrier to understanding because it separates us. Moving forward, we need to prepare banquet tables large enough to include those with divergent perspectives and lived experiences so that we might better understand. Instead, we have found ourselves huddled around bistro tables where we can only hear those closest to us — those who think and live like us, those who value what we value. How are we to repair our communities and build a world worthy of our descendants if we don’t seek understanding? If you're looking for resources to help you commit to understanding, we've been hard at work preparing for today. Learn more and read some of my thoughts here. #election #community #hope #gratitude #belonging https://lnkd.in/edWUTrUX

5 rules to make Thanksgiving awesome. 1) Regardless of how you feel about the election don't take it out on your family. 2) Even when your family is annoying recognize they are doing the best they can with what they have to work with. 3) Eat what you want. You don't have to finish what you try. 4)Find a Salvation Army near you, spend time serving the less fortunate, and get some perspective. 5) This is a great holiday it's about Thanks and Giving. You do not have to have anything to be grateful. Giving what you can will increase your Joy.

My graditude journey. As I look back over the past year, I’m reminded of the importance of showing up and holding myself accountable for my own growth. Facing myself hasn’t always been easy—leaning into fear, learning from failures, and letting go of insecurities. But through it all, I’ve learned how powerful it is to feel good in my own skin and truly trust myself. Now, I know that whatever I set out to do, I am capable. Every connection I make, I know I’m worthy of someone’s time and energy. But getting here hasn’t been a simple journey. Building self-love and self-trust is hard work. It takes courage to confront insecurities and commit to nurturing yourself. It’s easy to use insecurity as an excuse, but I’ve learned that self-love is the real recipe for success. When you believe in your worth, you’re unstoppable. Here’s to the journey of self-discovery, growth, and embracing our full potential. With gratitude,
Today, we take a moment to be grounded and thoughtful, giving thanks for everything that serves us and helps us grow. Thanksgiving is a beautiful time to reflect on what may not be serving us, to embrace the opportunity to learn, and to find gratitude in every experience—even in those moments when we feel the weight and compression of life. We are incredibly grateful for the support of our communities, for everyone who has been a part of our journey, and for those we’ve yet to meet. Together, we’re stronger. Wishing everyone a warm and reflective Thanksgiving! 🧡 #Thanksgiving #Gratitude #EmpowerWomenCanada #ReflectAndGrow #CommunitySupport

Absolutely! Gratitude helps shift our focus from what we lack or struggle with to what we have and appreciate. This shift can transform our mindset, giving us a more positive perspective on our daily lives and tasks. When we cultivate gratitude, we're more likely to find meaning and joy in even the smallest actions. It can make challenges feel more manageable and achievements feel more rewarding, helping us connect with the present moment.
Let's be grateful always ! When we push a shopping cart with a broken wheel in a supermarket, frustration can arise quickly. But in that same supermarket, there might be a security guard standing on tired legs, a cashier who hasn’t eaten since morning, or a cleaner who wonders if they’ll have enough to eat tonight. We pass by them, often unaware of the real struggles behind their polite smiles. On our way to work, we might grumble that the air conditioning in the car isn’t cold enough, but just a few streets away, others walk for miles under the sun or in pouring rain. They arrive at the same office, damp and worn, carrying the weight of fatigue that no paycheck can erase. When we’re stuck in traffic on our way home, it’s easy to feel annoyed, even cheated of time. But for many, that long commute is the norm. They get home late, long after their families are asleep, and wake up before dawn to catch a crowded bus, living a cycle of constant exhaustion and sacrifice that goes unnoticed. At home, if dinner doesn’t taste quite right, maybe we blame the cook. But for the security guard outside, dinner might just be a handful of peanuts. He keeps watch over our homes as he wrestles with his own hunger, grateful for whatever little he has. And then there’s the pain of unmet needs that others bear in silence. While we may worry about school fees or bills, there are parents who stand helpless in hospital corridors, unable to afford medicine for a sick child. They carry grief that is unspeakable, trying to make sense of a world that feels stacked against them. When we complain about our own lives, there are countless others who would trade places with us, seeing our burdens as blessings. It’s not that our struggles aren’t real—they are. But learning to look beyond them, to notice the quiet suffering and silent endurance of others, can change our hearts. There’s no easy fix to poverty. But maybe, by noticing, by empathizing, and by reflecting, we can live with more compassion, understanding that our smallest blessings are often another’s biggest dreams. #Gratitude #leadership #Nigeria #Empathy #Grateful
