We started with a carbon footprint. Following the Greenhouse Gas Protocol and CSRD requirements, we mapped scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions. This provided a foundation for setting Science-Based Targets to reduce its CO2 footprint. But we didn’t stop there. We went beyond carbon to measure the impacts and risks linked to nature. This holistic approach has provided the team at HEMA the insights to make informed decisions about product design and innovation, driving sustainability across their portfolio. I’m thrilled that Decathlon is included in the very first edition of TIME Magazine’s ‘World Most Sustainable Companies’. Our commitment to acting responsibly for both people and the planet is part of our DNA. I know that this will mean a lot to many of my teammates. It reflects the hard work put into our sustainable and responsible business practices. We know that the issue at hand has major implications not just for us as a business, but for humanity at large.
