Hylio is moving forward with an exemption for sophisticated aerial spraying operations. The extent of regulatory red tape the FAA is allowing Hylio to bypass in this single decision shows a large level of complexity and progression in the regulatory space. The approved exemption allows: 1. A single pilot-in-command (PIC) to operate up to three drones at once WITHOUT a visual observer. 2. Operations to be conducted in a NIGHT setting. 3. Operations to be conducted BEYOND visual line of sight. The simultaneous operation of three drones by a single PIC is unheard of in the aviation and UAS industries. On top of that, the proposed drone structures are larger than 55 pounds, pushing them into a totally different class for commercial operations. The FAA's decision to grant Hylio's multi-regulation exemption showcases its willingness to support and adapt to changing industry goals in a greater capacity than years past. What does Hylio's capabilities or regulatory exemption mean for the future of drone regulation? Aonic is excited to host another round of Dronerizon, where we provided an in-depth product presentation to our attendees. This time, we were honored to welcome members of Lembaga Kemajuan Pertanian Muda (MADA) to our headquarters. Aligned with MADA’s focus on agriculture, our team introduced several drone models designed suitable for the agricultural industry, including the Mist Drone, DJI Mavic 3 Multispectral, and an overview of the RCOC-B drone license. We also took the opportunity to present Aonic’s expertise as a drone solution provider. Also, Aonic was delighted with the strong turnout from MADA and we successfully conducted a live demonstration featuring two reliable drones for agricultural use: the Mist Max and DJI’s versatile FlyCart 30. Additionally, we had a productive Q&A session with the MADA team, during which both parties discussed the benefits and key considerations of incorporating drones as a solution for the agricultural industry managed by MADA. We hope the insights shared on agricultural drone advancements will inspire MADA to continue leveraging drones as essential tools for daily operations. Furthermore, we look forward to a fruitful collaboration that propels MADA towards even greater success in the future. Get to know us today: https://hubs.la/Q02ZG8ld0

Hamjambo drone heads 👋🏾 Recently, a good friend and colleague in the agricultural drone space industry shared a picture she took while at work and it struck a chord with me. In the picture, you can see an agricultural drone expertly spraying corn, juxtaposed with seven diligent men spraying another part of the field using knapsack sprayers. The contrast was stark, one embodies the cutting-edge of modern technology, while the other represents traditional farming practices. The expression on their faces told a story, rather a mix of frustration and realization. As drones become more efficient in our fields, the need for adaptation has never been clearer. We are living in an age where technology is evolving at lightning speed, and staying ahead of the curve is more crucial now than ever before. This is a not-so-gentle reminder for all of us (esp. UAS Pilots), that we must continuously learn, adapt, and embrace new ways of doing things. The future may bring advancements that render current skills obsolete, but by cultivating a mindset of adaptability and lifelong learning, we can ensure that we remain relevant in this ever-changing landscape. Photo credits go to my fellow UAS Pilot Joy Jeruto. Shoutout to Fahari Aviation as this was a Demo they were executing in Dwa, Kibwezi. Stay Sharp! #precisionagriculture #dronelife #agspraydrones #agritech

Hylio has become the first company in the U.S. to secure Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) approval for swarming UAS that exceed 55 pounds. This approval means Hylio can operate up to 3 heavy-duty drones simultaneously with a single pilot, meaning a single operator can now manage up to 150 acres per hour. This not only triples productivity but also allows for multitasking, such as planting seeds with one drone while others perform different treatments. This achievement marks a significant step forward and sets a precedent that other companies can follow, potentially expanding the capabilities and efficiency of agricultural drone use across the industry.
