Life can be full of ups and downs, and these ups and downs affect our children, too. It's important to talk to your child about it in a way they can understand. Here's a great way to get the conversation started: Read a book together and ask questions! Their answers can give clues about their feelings and open the door to a deeper conversation. You can healthily address their fears and worries by talking openly and honestly with your child.

It can be a terrific time for a child who is two years old! Children this age can begin to label basic feelings such as happy, sad, mad and scared, and identify when they feel these emotions. Managing emotions is still difficult, however, and frustration may quickly trigger emotional meltdowns. Get info and tips from PBS Kids on self-awareness, self-control and self-confidence to support your two year old child. https://lnkd.in/eZqvnhj2

Splitting your attention between multiple children is not an easy task. You don’t need to split your attention evenly between children though. Most kids manage really well without constant attention as long as they have some time with their parents where they know they are the most loved and important person in that moment. Here are some ideas to keep in mind. #SplitAttention #ParentingSkills #ManagingChildren #LittleSkoolz

Who do we take out all our frustration on? On our parents, our partners, or our children? Let’s talk about the children... We feel it’s inevitable to react automatically, but in fact, it’s entirely within our control 👍🏻. Sometimes, we see them in a negative light 😳, find faults, blame them, and get angry at everything they do. So how do we change our approach? Remember that they are not acting against us but for themselves. Every time it seems like they are acting out against us and we boil with anger, they are actually looking out for their own interests. They are children, they are self-centered and do not see what it does to us, but rather how it benefits them. It’s important to observe their behavior and try to understand what is behind it, and how to interpret it in their favor. We will find that there is often a fine line between our frustration 😱 and the ability to understand them 😊. If we just listen to them and their needs, without focusing on anger, we will realize it can be different ♥️.
