RetailBiz expects another bumper peak season filled with opportunity—but also challenges. And while a poor delivery experience can cost you repeat customers, a great one can turn one-time buyers into raving fans. How can retailers ensure they deliver on customers’ expectations this Black Friday / Cyber Monday? Rob Hango-Zada, co-founder and co-CEO of Shippit shares some timely advice: 😁 Over-Promise vs. Under-Deliver: Data from Shippit shows that retailers are extending advertised delivery times to avoid falling short of expectations. But here’s the catch: inflated estimates can impact sales, especially for last-minute shoppers. The solution? Use real-time data to provide accurate delivery estimates at the checkout. 🚚 Free Shipping Trends: Free shipping offers have dropped from 81% of retailers in 2018 to 70% today. While retailers may be trying to manage rising costs, it’s vital to communicate free shipping thresholds to avoid surprises. Be transparent to drive trust and enhance conversion. 📲 Reliability Reigns Supreme: Shoppers prioritise reliable delivery over speed. Half of them won’t return after a poor delivery experience. Provide real-time updates at each stage of the last-mile and ensure your delivery provider is meeting high delivered in full on time (DIFOT) standards. 📖 Read the full article for more insights: https://lnkd.in/g3wpH6cp And learn how reliable, local delivery experts like Deliver In Person can help you uphold your brand’s reputation—right to every doorstep: https://lnkd.in/dF4-97tY #PeakSeason #Delivery #BFCM #LastMile #CustomerExperience

As we head into the busiest time of the year for ecommerce, the pressure to meet customer demand is at an all-time high. From Black Friday to Cyber Monday, to the holiday rush, peak season brings both incredible opportunity and significant challenges. While demand spikes are predictable to some extent, the unforeseen volumes can be a real headache. That's where having a reliable fulfilment partner becomes mission-critical. Why Fulfilment Partners Matter: - Scalability: The right partner can flex with demand, ensuring that your orders are processed and shipped efficiently, even during the busiest times. - Accuracy: Speed doesn't matter if accuracy is compromised. A trusted fulfilment partner ensures that every order is picked, packed, and shipped correctly — reducing costly returns and customer dissatisfaction. - Customer Experience: Meeting the expectation of fast, reliable delivery is crucial during peak season. A strong partner helps you maintain high service levels, keeping your customers happy and loyal. Whether it's handling increased volume, ensuring timely deliveries, or optimising costs, choosing the right fulfilment partner can be the difference between a successful peak season and one full of headaches. #Ecommerce #PeakSeason #BlackFriday #CyberMonday #Logistics #Fulfillment #SupplyChain #CustomerExperience #Codestorm

There's early signs of which retailers may be the winners and losers of this holiday season as customers hold off on purchases to find the deepest discounts. It's been great for Walmart and Amazon, which offer a wide variety of merchandise from toys to toiletries, and for discount retailers like TJ Maxx. Black Friday and Cyber Monday will be the time for Target and other discretionary retailers put competitive prices in front of cash-strapped shoppers this holiday season, especially with less shopping days between Thanksgiving and Christmas compared to last year. "The big change that we'll concentrate on this holiday is how much fight there will be for that new incremental customer. I think because of that you'll see increased targeted promotions just try to get new customers at an accelerated rate," said M Science analyst John Tomlinson, CFA/CPA. Retailers have been trying to spread out the incredibly sharp peaks of Black Friday and the Thanksgiving shopping weekend -- offering deals as early as October, stretching the Cyber Five into the Cyber Dozen, etc. -- to both capitalize on shopping excitement and ease the pressures on their supply chains. But try as they might, Black Friday is still the king of Peak Season, surging anywhere from 7% to 15% over last year, depending on the analyst. Those spending surges have logistical impacts, and there's a simple bottom line: Your distribution has to be able to flex up and down to meet that level of demand, not to mention the returns that come in subsequent months.
