Who are your dream clients? ✨ I recently saw a post by Abbie Swain where she shared her list of DREAM clients publicly. Brilliant idea, right? I thought of creating my own list, but then I looked at our Kudos Narratives notion hub with our current clients and realized — we’ve already got them! Some of our current B2B SaaS clients are: - Data & Computer Vision in Logistics - AI for Fashion, Retail, and Apparel - CRM disrupting the Private Equity market - Ad Creatives Automation platform - Fintech & Crypto Payments Platform Just… dream!! 😍 I’m super pumped to work with these incredible founders and teams! Wondering how this dream list came true? Through a series of hard No’s ❌ rather than soft Yes’s ✅ Believe me, it wasn’t always all shiny before. But what I learned is that there can be no compromises when onboarding a new client. If something feels off, the client doesn’t match your criteria, and most importantly, your team doesn’t feel right about it — skip it. That’s the only way to make space for your dream clients. P.S. I'm really bummed about how many of my friends are facing #layoffs this year, so here's another post from me today with another job seeking tip for you guys, focused this time on those looking for remote work: First: I did recently talk about the fact that 40% of companies posted fake jobs in May and 1 in 3 current postings are fake (yikes). Because of that, I recommend taking advantage of Boolean search for LinkedIn posts instead of starting on the job boards. By the way: huge hat tip to Katherine Connell for sharing this tip with me in the first place. For example, if I was looking for remote copywriting opportunities, I'd start by using this Boolean search string: ("I'm hiring" OR "We're hiring") AND (remote OR freelance) AND copywriting To get better results, I might go to Google search and use this, which still limits the site search to LinkedIn but allows for more of the Boolean qualifiers (like synonyms) than searching within LinkedIn itself: ("I'm hiring" OR "We're hiring" OR hiring OR looking for OR ~recruiting OR ~seeking) AND (remote OR telecommute OR freelance OR independent) AND (copywriting OR content writing OR ~copywriter OR ~content writer) site:linkedin.com When you find posts with actual people who you can talk to, you're already in much better shape than cold applying from a job board. Comment, connect, start a conversation. Be your wonderful self. <3 P.S. While I don't advocate for letting ChatGPT replace your writing voice, it's a great help with creating Boolean search strings!
