For the past six years, DECIEM has taken a stance against Black Friday, throwaway culture and shrinkflation by offering a month-long discount across all our products and closing our shops on a day when pressure to buy is at an all-time high. Our position has stayed the same. We don't believe that businesses need to race to the bottom. After all, flash sales don't always lead to better choices, and skincare requires consideration. You have been getting this wrong! 🚨 Stop Overusing Urgency in Marketing! Urgency sells, but overdoing it can kill trust. Tommy Hilfiger spammed me with "last-minute Black Friday deals" even weeks after Black Friday ended. And It made me question the brand’s credibility and intentions. Here’s the takeaway: 👉 Urgency works when used sparingly and genuinely. 👉 Overusing it feels manipulative and frustrates customers. Remember, building trust > chasing quick conversions. Watch the video to know why moderation is key and how to strike the right balance! What’s your experience with overused urgency tactics? I was chatting with Chelsea Harding yesterday about a brand I've been wanting to try for ages, only to see it sell out of its best-sellers within the first hour of its Black Friday sale. A brand like this must know how to manage its stock levels during such a huge sales event, right? Our theory - they’re intentionally marking top-selling items as "out of stock," allowing them to still advertise a "sitewide sale" without having to discount their best-sellers. I've now had a closer look and noticed this across multiple brands. It’s "clever" marketing, but not exactly the best experience for a first-time customer 🥲 Have I been missing this trend in past years, are businesses just getting more savvy with each Black Friday, or are they genuinely selling out in 30 minutes? #justagirlwantingtotrygreenspowder

Puresport's outside-the-box Black Friday Campaign 👇 This Black Friday saw record-breaking online sales in the US, with $10.8 billion spent, a 10% increase from last year. In-store traffic fell by 8%, highlighting the continued shift toward e-commerce. Puresport took a refreshing approach that stood out. Instead of contributing to product oversupply, they sent out empty boxes encouraging creators to fill them with products and return them. They then redistributed these to those in need, aligning perfectly with their values. As Black Friday evolves, initiatives like this remind us that brands can drive impact beyond just sales. 🌍 #BlackFriday #Sustainability #brandbuilding #creatoreconomy Feedstar Pure sports original TikTok https://lnkd.in/gYzxfhv5

Don't let your store get stuck in the trap of discounting to survive! Instead... ✨ Focus on adding value to your stores shopping experience by #levellingup customer service. *cough cough* What's your conversion rate today...? ✨Get creative with new and innovative ways to bring folks into your store so you can stir up that much needed foot traffic. Maybe that's a really funky window display, maybe it's driving engagement over socials, maybe it's a relaunch or re-jig, of your rewards or loyalty program! Start thinking outside the "pop it on promotion" box. ✨Emphasize quality over price! As a consumer I'm always willing to pay a little more for product that I know is of a higher quality. Train up your team on how to explain what makes your product worth the extra cash and higher price point! Would love to hear your take...pop your thoughts in the comments below. 👇👇👇 https://lnkd.in/gyQs_A9K

Why is this not being discussed? This year's Black Friday falls on November 29. One or two weeks later than in prior years. The most important queries for retail, CPG, and DTC brands are: When should they begin selling their brand? What effects will this date have on customer behavior? Every year, businesses launch their sales far ahead of schedule in an effort to beat CPMs, rivalry, and bloated marketing offerings. This year, how far ahead should they start? Consumers will continue to spend for the holidays despite the US elections and the looming recession. They will continue to pursue the finest offers. From the standpoint of the customer, comparison shopping will remain prevalent. Now is the moment to begin organizing and preparing for BFCM. #ProfessionalGrowth #CareerDevelopment #LinkedInTips #SoftSkills #NetworkEffect #CareerAdvice #dropshipping #business #smallowners #realtors #onlinestore #portfolio #interior #designs
