A software developer should be one of your FIRST HIRES when starting a business. I have 8 full-time employees right now. Two of them are full-stack developers. They are driving so much value to my business that I'm hiring TWO MORE in the coming weeks. Most people think you should just use "off the shelf" technology. I’ve done that, and I’ve also built my own tech. And holy sh*t has my company become so much better since building our own technology.
