Monarch Commercial Advisors will be ICSC Las Vegas this year. We'll be meeting and re-connecting with clients, prospects, and partners and always enjoying some of the social festivities. Vegas is a lot. This year, we'll keep it focused with the following objectives: - In-person meetings with clients and prospects that can feed us listing inventory to our extensive buyside and upcoming client 1031 requirements. - Connecting with our brokerage relationships across the country to confirm market sentiment and identify areas to collaborate - Celebrating some 2024 closings at a few client dinners and raising a toast to our new company! - Honoring our firm's core value of prioritizing health: constant hydration, at least one workout session, and ideally a quick team breakout session at Top Golf. Family fireworks… Learning from the Foti family at #TFBC24 - the Family Business Conference 2024. This family business is the team that’s responsible for the Sydney New Year’s Eve fireworks & 1,037 other fireworks displays around the world last year 🎇 Did you know that 150,000 fireworks got set off in the 2023 show? This business is a 7th generation family business. The oldest in the business is 86 years old & the youngest is 17 years old. Lessons learned from Tino… Why is being family a competitive advantage? People who work with tour family know that we are invested in what we do & they can trust us. In 1986 the government banned personal fireworks or firecracker night & they lost 80% of their business overnight. They had to tighten their belts & change their strategy… which they did. They didn’t really have a plan B, but they had to come up with one quickly! They worked on the commercial fireworks displays & built the business that way. And then during Covid, they once again lost 80% of their business… And it was time to get creative. Culture got them through it - the culture with the team but also with their partners. The 6 P’s? As anyone who has been can tell you, the last 3 days have been a bit of a whirlwind while #FQFAdvisors was at the ICSC conference in Las Vegas. 🌪 Like most things in Vegas - this show is just over the top. From walking a "trade floor" that consumes the entirety of the Las Vegas Convention Center and all its branches - to parties like the one below that was thrown by the #NewYorkDevelopers - all the experiences make you say "WOW". 😲 For those who are curious, this was at LIV at the new Fontainebleau Las Vegas Whether is was planned lunches with friends like Pacific Dental Services, slogging the trade floor, or nighttime networking making connections in the casinos - relationships are forged in iron at events like this. 💪 My singular oldest client comes from ICSC and a night (and morning) of teaching them how to play craps. 🎲 Thank you also to Angela Debibi, Hayley Edmonds, and Mike Hoover for being such game networking partners - and to Dennis Cisterna for helping lay the path to success with his bounty of contacts and networking options. 👊 Here's to next year and the people I haven't met yet!! 🕺 P.S.
