Interviewers should prepare for interviews just as thoroughly as candidates do. Being equipped with compelling stories and setting aside dedicated preparation time, such as 30 minutes beforehand, allows interviewers to mentally prepare and be fully present during the interview. https://bit.ly/4bhvklM #encore #prepare #howto #interview #career #jobsearch #candidate

Spoke with a candidate recently She had 6 rounds of interviews And still didn't get an answer. Ridiculous! A candidate just shared their interview nightmare with me. 6 rounds. 4 different interviewers. 6+ hours of their time. (And they still didn't get an answer) This is what's wrong with recruitment today. If you can't evaluate talent in 2-3 rounds, your process needs work. Here's all you need: Round 1: Initial screening Round 2: Deep-dive into experience Round 3: Culture Alignment That's it. With a well-structured process, you could do it all in ONE sitting.

Today am reflecting on the increasing trend especially among local recruiters of not giving candidates timely feedback especially after interviews. So many people will attend an interview and if they didn't get the job, recruiters just go quiet. Let's learn to put ourselves in interviewees shoes and provide closure by giving both positive and negative feedback. Giving feedback is essential as it provides closure, whether in interviews or official queries, and showcases efficiency and dependability in communication and decision-making processes. Whatever you do, please learn to give feedback and provide closure. #feedbackprovidesclosure#

As part of this panel interview process, it is almost universally the custom to ask candidates at the end of their interview if they have any questions of their own. As a recruiter, I’ve seen first-hand how mock interviews can be a game-changer for candidates. It not only helps individuals refine their responses but also boosts confidence, providing an edge in real interviews. From my experience, candidates who take the time to practice in realistic settings usually demonstrate better communication, handle difficult questions with ease, and build rapport more effectively. To all aspiring candidates: Don’t underestimate the value of preparation. A mock interview today could be the key to landing your dream job tomorrow! #Recruitment #CareerGrowth #InterviewPreparation #RecruiterInsights

Absolutely! Mock interviews: the secret sauce for transforming nervousness into confidence! 🎤✨ But my approach to this was a bit more different. When I relocated to my home country two years ago, I knew no one, had no connections and needed a job to support myself, but thankfully I was not as desperate and took it rather slow and steady with the ultimate patience. 😅 At 22, without any corporate or professional experience, I quickly realized that nailing the interview was key to securing a position, regardless of my background. Having never faced a professional interview— my only experience being the English speaking test during my IGCSEs—I knew I had to improve my skills. I started searching for interview tips online, but nothing clicked for me. So, I decided to apply to various most random jobs, just to get interview exposure—yes, just for the exposure! 😂 I gained a newfound appreciation for the hard work recruiters do to source candidates and schedule interviews. While I was playing around to gain experience, I felt a mix of sympathy for recruiters and pride in my determination. Ultimately, out of the thirty jobs I applied for, I secured six interview calls. Each experience was unique, and I received offers from four of them—but none were the roles I truly wanted, so I declined. However, at this point this process built my confidence and honed my skills, allowing me to eventually apply for positions I was genuinely interested in ... and viola, I found the job I was looking for, Alhamdulillah! In conclusion, whether you’re facing your first interview or your fiftieth, remember: every opportunity is a chance to learn and grow. A mock interview today could lead you to your dream job tomorrow! 🚀✨ #JobSearch #InterviewSkills #CareerAdvice #PracticeMakesPerfect #ProfessionalGrowth #InterviewTips #JobReady

Experiencing the bitter truth of the candidate journey, where applicants invest time and effort in enduring 2-3 rounds of interviews, only to receive rejection emails, often auto-generated, with hollow phrases like ‘keep in touch,’ revealing the lack of genuine concern for the candidate’s time and effort. #candidateexperience #lifeofhr #interviewskills #interviewexperience
