If I were a finance broker right now, this is the first question I would ask a borrower: “Did you receive a PPP/EIDL loan?” If the answer is yes, the next thing I would do is have the borrower self-check the status of their loan. Here are a couple ways to do this: MySBALoan Portal: https://lending.sba.gov 1. A Web-based platform where SBA borrowers can view loan details, make payments, and access statements for PPP, COVID EIDL, Disaster and SBA-serviced 7(a) loans. 2. Technical assistance: (833) 572-0502 or cls@sba.gov COVID EIDL servicing center: 1. If a borrower is unsure if they have a COVID EIDL loan or do not know the loan number, they can contact the servicing center 2. Customer service: (833) 853-5638 or COVIDEIDLServicing@sba.gov PPP Borrower Search: https://lnkd.in/gmBx-jMY These defaults seem to be stalling deals more frequently lately, and I really appreciate my referral partners who do this due diligence upfront. There’s nothing worse than getting a deal into underwriting and finding out that one of the borrowers has an issue with their EDIL loan.
