The current Polish legal system does not sufficiently support #innovative activities, based on advanced knowledge and creating new technologies. Primarily reproductive projects are financed, which do not provide opportunities to build advantages for the Polish economy on an #international scale. Changes are necessary, because otherwise it may lead to: ➡ reversal of processes of strengthening #cooperation between the academic and business communities 🤝 ➡ loss of global competitiveness and #Poland's dependence on foreign technologies 🎈 ➡ leakage of #talent from the life sciences sector to the foreign market 🛫 ➡ a slowdown in economic #growth 📉

The EIC T2M Business Idea Validation Bootcamp was the central focus during a recent workshop organsed as part of the EIC Tech to Market (T2M) Program. We are excited to share our latest work as part of the thesis of Giovanni Montà González, where we delve into the fascinating world of dynamic and constrictive binding in molecular cages, with a particular focus on drug delivery applications. By using simple equilibrium and kinetic models, we have analyzed how these molecular systems behave and how they can be used for drug delivery in biological applications. I’m thrilled to share that our team has been granted our second patent of the year and the seventh for our lab: “Process for obtaining a nanobiocomposite of microfibrillated cellulose with silver,” a groundbreaking innovation in antimicrobial technology. This patented nanobiocomposite leverages the unique properties of microfibrillated cellulose combined with silver nanoparticles, offering a highly effective and sustainable solution for combating pathogenic microorganisms. Its applications span across healthcare, biotechnology, and the food industry, addressing critical challenges like antimicrobial resistance with cutting-edge science. This milestone is the result of outstanding teamwork, particularly the contributions of Dr. Javier Alberto Garza Cervantes, my former PhD student and now a postdoctoral researcher in our lab. His dedication and expertise were essential in turning this idea into a patented technology.
