**Building Connections Over a Bite 🥯** There’s something about sharing food that just brings people together. Whether it’s a casual coffee catch-up, a strategic planning session, or meeting a new client for the first time, good food creates the right environment for great conversations. At The Bagelry, we love seeing our platters add that special touch to meetings—whether it’s a bagel breakfast, light lunch, or a full spread. Who else finds a little bit of catering makes meetings better? There's something about the mountains. 🏔 Have you ever compared dealing with the usual stresses of life at ground level to being up in the mountains? For example, we took our two boys on a city holiday to a restaurant, and then we took them to a restaurant up in the mountains. It was amazingly different. None of us got worked up. Working from different places often helps. If you're in KL next week, consider going to Frasers for a day. #ShiftingPerspectives #ShiftingWorkLocations

“I saw on the sign outside that you have walk-ins available. Do you have a table for one please?” Waiter: “We have a table, yes. For how many people?” “Just me, thanks 😊.” Dining alone can feel a bit awkward, especially in a world that often values group meals and social gatherings, particularly at this time of year. The world may tell you that eating alone means you’re isolated or lonely and I thought it might feel uncomfortable, but in truth, it can be an opportunity to honour your own company. A solo lunch date actually felt empowering and like a small act of self-care, a time to reconnect with myself. I chose a table in the quiet bar area of the restaurant, this let me enjoy my meal without the pressure of being watched. It allowed me to enjoy my thoughts, without the noise of external expectations or interruptions. So, if you’re ever thinking of heading out for a solo lunch or coffee, don’t shy away from it. There's something satisfying in carving out time and space for yourself. It can be a quick and easy way to recharge and enjoy a bit of peace during a busy time. It’s a simple way to make time for yourself, and sometimes, that’s exactly what you need. 🍽️✨ #SoloLunch #SelfCare #AloneButNotLonely

You might not realise this when you're eating your packed lunch at your desk, but there are some significant benefits that can come from eating together and socialising as a team, instead of dining solo. The most important one, however, is social capital. That's a 'thing'. It is what enables trust, builds connection, strengthens psychological safety and makes the world of work a much more enjoyable and engaging place to be. When was the last time you invited your colleagues to join you for lunch? Perhaps today might be the day.... #PersonalBrand #PersonalBranding

Restaurants are gearing up for Christmas… People are already planning their get-togethers. In such times, eating alone in a restaurant might seem unusual to some. Roaming solo can feel a little odd. I’m not sure why people make such a big deal out of being alone—it’s really not that complicated. Here’s the truth: no one is coming to save you. You are responsible for your own happiness. So, take yourself out. Savor the moment. Enjoy your own company. This applies not just to dining or roaming alone, but to every aspect of life. When you take charge of your happiness, you empower yourself to lead with confidence—both personally and professionally. #EatingSolo #AloneButHappy #SelfLove #EnjoyYourOwnCompany #PersonalGrowth

🎉How do you make an annual meeting a success? Simple: food!🍽️ The property I now manage had a bit of a rough experience at their last annual meeting, and the Board was concerned about turnout since this was our first in-person meeting since Covid and also being under new management. Naturally, the concierge and I had the same lightbulb moment… food! 💡🍪 I made sure to bring out the snacks, and let me tell you – it worked! Residents enjoyed the refreshments, and the meeting went so smoothly. Sometimes, it’s the little details that count, and in this case, a few tasty treats went a long way. Pro tip: When in doubt, bring the snacks! 😄 #communitymanagement

🚀 Transforming Business Relationships… One Meal at a Time! 🍽️ 🚀 In today’s fast-paced world, we often overlook the impact of stepping away from our desks and engaging on a more personal level. One of my favorite ways to foster strong working relationships is through dinner dates – sharing a meal, exploring local flavors, and connecting beyond work topics. There’s something special about good food that brings people together! As I look to continue these conversations over great meals, I’m on the hunt for restaurant recommendations in Northumberland and Durham. What are your go-to spots? And, more importantly, what’s your must-have dish? 💥 To make it more interesting, here’s a fun challenge: check out my picture below! The first person to guess both the location and dish will receive a gift voucher for that restaurant. 🍽️ Let’s share our favorite dishes, build connections, and maybe discover a new favorite dining spot! #Networking #RelationshipBuilding #FoodLovers #NorthumberlandEats #DurhamDining #GuessTheDish.

Running restaurants can be a lot like being a parent. No one tells you how hard it's going to be 🫠 How many things you have to juggle. The emotions you have to manage. The curveballs that will be thrown. Every, single, day. Not to mention the sheer workload. Next thing you know, you're deep in the weeds and can't see your way out. 🌿 Here's how to take the first step to get yourself out of the weeds, reduce overwhelm, and have a more manageable workload: https://lnkd.in/eQ-yGwXF #outofthweeds #restaurant
