Neff Inspiration - The Human Condition: It's Not Our Fault But Our Responsibility The human condition shapes our emotions and impulses, but it doesn’t need to define the outcome of our lives. Especially as grown adults, we parents need to understand the responsibilities we have regarding our children. In the newest episode of the podcast Neff Inspiration, Austin Davis, our CEO and founder at Clearfork Academy, joins as a guest to explore how our human nature is to be stubborn. Still, it can also become a tool to point us toward our areas of improvement and, instead of being bound by our circumstances, fulfill our children’s needs. Let's cut through the noise. The journey to empowerment isn't about mantras or quick fixes—it's about a profound transformation of the mind. And guess what? It starts with dismantling those pesky limiting beliefs that hold you back. In our latest podcast episode, Sue Corl shares a moving story about a child who drew a "before and after" picture of his mom—one side depicting anger and fear, the other side, a family filled with love and smiles. It’s a powerful testament to the change that can happen when we confront our fears and anxieties head-on. Most people think transformation is a solo journey, but here's a radical thought: what if it’s a collective one? The truth is, empowerment isn't just a personal victory; it's a ripple effect that touches everyone around us. It's not about waiting for the perfect moment or the right set of circumstances—it's about taking that first step today. Listen to this eye-opening conversation with Sue Corl and discover how you can start your own journey of transformation.

While we can’t control other people, we CAN influence them. We’re actually influencing others at all times, whether we want to or not – Especially our kids. Our influence happens because of a function in our brain called neuroception . Neuroception is constantly reading the room – assessing the people and surroundings to evaluate: safe? Or not safe? Neuroception takes in another person’s body language, tone of voice, eye movement, every micro-expression. And it all happens subconsciously, without effort so we can read whether another person is calm and in control, or if we should be on high-alert. This is why, as dads, leaders, husbands, influence starts with regulating our own nervous system. To recognize our triggers and learn to control our temper. When our kids, employees, and spouse feel safe, the whole room can relax. After a few weeks of working together, one guy said, “the whole house feels better.” Tap here 👉 https://buff.ly/3WDZdqU to listen to episode #75 of the Durable Dad Podcast, Influence Vs. Control, and learn how you can create an environment of safety and trust for your family.

🚗💡 Lately, I've been turning my time in the car into a rolling classroom by catching up on old episodes of the "Doorknob Comments" podcast. Recently, I listened to an insightful interview that Dr. Grant Brenner and Dr. Fara White had with Dr. Niobe Way, a developmental psychologist, on episode #40. Dr. Way's research highlights the "...crucial importance of friendship for boys...", emphasizing that friendships are both "healthy and normal." Despite societal pressures to "play it cool" as they grow older, there are many simple things parents and educators can do to address this issue. Her findings are not only compelling but also a reminder of the vital role of emotional connections in development. I highly recommend giving this episode a listen – it's a game-changer for anyone invested in nurturing the well-being of the next generation. #PodcastRecommendation #ChildDevelopment #EmotionalHealth #LifelongLearning
