New Post: Blue Line up and froze due to some wire woes -Right in the middle of the evening rush, the Blue Line came to a sudden stop when it developed what the MBTA called a “catenary problem.” Bustitution started up between Bowdoin and Suffolk Downs and continued into the night. Multfam Cam reported at 7:28 p.m.: Avoid the Blue Line at all costs tonight. Absolute shit... Bustitution started up between Bowdoin and Suffolk Downs and continued into the night. Multfam Cam reported at 7:28 p.m.: Avoid the Blue Line at all costs tonight. Absolute shit show at Airport. Waited for a shuttle toward Bowdoin for 25 minutes, one came and dropped off about 100 yards away where no one was waiting, then nothing else. Guy on the walkie-talkie had no idea what was going on. Some busses are just sitting there, idling, driver doesn’t know where he’s going or when he’s leaving. Embarrassing even for the MBTA. Source link

Other jurisdictions can try but those who know lawyerball – as David Squires obviously does – know that England & Wales is the true home of lawyerball. People will say too much money has been thrown at the national stadium at the Rolls Building, or that £10,000 issue fees are pricing out the traditional trial-going fan. But you can get yourself into the County Court at Central London for a fraction of that - in fact, if you ignore a court order for long enough people will literally take you there for free - and the number of litigants in person we've got now shows the game is thriving at a grassroots level. They simply do not build courts like the Thomas More building anymore. Sure, the cynics will say that's because asbestos is illegal now, but I'm talking about the feel of the place. The sheer blood-and-guts, no-you-cant-have-a-counter-appointment, no-we-wont-pick-up-the-phone hostility of it. It's a thrill. Like going to the Den or Elland Road. It's actually a little-known fact that the lion in the coat of arms in every lawyerballroom was inspired by Millwall FC's badge. It just makes you remember why you first kicked a lawyerball all those years ago. We'll miss atmosphere like that when we're all lawyerballing in the sanitised lawyerballrooms of more modern times. Ok, the national game is going through a period of transition, but with the new Lord Chancellor Shabana Mahmood at the wheel I hope we can all get behind the team and build on this jurisdiction's great lawyerballing legacy. I absolutely love David Squires’ cartoons. This one is especially good and just so firmly in my wheelhouse it’s untrue. #Lawyerball #Lawyers #NoOneLikesUs #WeDoCare https://lnkd.in/ezH6P-Vd

"If that’s your only measure, staying ahead of your rival, whilst you’re fighting with each other, there are others who could be going past you, so I’ve always made a conscious effort to make the measure about how good we can be." The philosophy Ange Postecoglou brings to his football managing/ coaching. Same goes in business > focussing solely on your competitors distracts from the opportunity to stretch your own organisation to its limits in deeply delivering to your customers. Believe in your own vision and do the hard work to bring it fully to life. "I never believe your motivation should revolve around the demise of somebody else. Your motivation should be about yourself. I want to win because I want us to achieve something. I want us to progress. I want us to be in a position fighting for the title. That’s what drives me..." "If that’s your kind of measure, always peering over the back fence to see what your neighbour’s building, you could both have the worst houses in the street because everyone else is building beautiful places and you’re looking over the back fence.” "We can win on Sunday but it doesn’t mean we are title contenders this year. To be title contenders you’ve got to do it over the course of the whole year. That’s how I’m measuring ourselves. So we know we’ve still got some work to do... At the same time, we’re in a better position than we were 12 months ago to build on that. That has to be our aim, that in 12 months’ time we’re in a position where we are one of the contenders rather than trying to disrupt them." For the record Arsenal beat Tottenham Hotspur 3-2 on the day, leading to this from Ange: “It’s about now over the course of time getting from where we are to where we want to get to. To do that we need to be absolutely laser focused on the details, the small things that get you from where we are to become a team that contends.” #leadership #strategytoexecution #innovation #thinkingoutsidethebox #digitalbusiness #digitaltransformation #datatransformation #aifirst #aitransformation #businesstransformation #enterprisetransformation #CCO #CMO #CDO #CDAO #buildingthefuture #daretolead #thinkingdifferently https://lnkd.in/gRgr2WPm
Spurs will get nowhere 'peering over the back fence' at Arsenal, insists Postecoglou
