We know Columbus didn’t discover anything. He and his crew encountered the Taino people, but we often don’t hear much about them. Seriously, we always say he encountered people, but how many of us can name them, outside of their tribe’s name? 🧐 With that said, here are three Taino people who resisted Columbus and his crew that you and your children should know about. 👇🏾 1. Anacaona. 2. Caonabo. 3. Hatuey…. (Wait until you hear his story of resistance! ✊🏾) 🚨Did you know about them? 🤔 Follow for more and DM for booking, or business inquiries. #columbusday #columbus #taino #cuba #holiday #racism #indigenous #indigenouspeoplesday

The Caribbean has an interesting history, an interesting ongoing story, an interesting people. Consider first, that Islanders Lived there Before The Africans Arrived for Slavery, Consider also that islanders were left Behind after the Abolition of Slavery. It is also interesting to note that the Caribbean Played a Key Part of The Slave Trade, 1) Global Production Output of Key Resources using Slave Labor 2) The Breaking Ground for the slaves being traded themselves. Humanity has Grown Closer, Compassion is foundational to our united human moral code. Nations and people rebuild communities, love has transcended race and color, yet I have found 3 things Growing up on the Island 1) The Caribbean must again awake and compete on the Global Stage, claim its global share in International Commerce, and use the plethora of Resources, Knowledge & Skill and couple it with technology to advance. 2) The Caribbean, though the Omega to modern civilization post slavery, seems to be forgotten when real wealth is distributed. 3) The Caribbean people are Resilient and Proud, and will rebuild on their own if they must. Lyrics; Dready got a job to do, And he's got to fulfill that mission To see his hurt is their greatest ambition But we will survive in this world of competition, Because no matter what they do Natty keep on coming through And no matter what they say Natty do them every day Natty Dread rides again Through the mystics of tomorrow Natty Dread rides again Have no fear, have no sorrow Bob Marley Ride Natty Ride https://hubs.ly/Q02CWfPw0

December 7, 2024, our son Ori Borenstein would have been 33 years old. He died on October 10, 2024 while protecting his friends and country, in hope to bring back those kidnapped and and murdered on Oct 7, 2023. Normally I do not share personal topics on Linkedin, and therefore my silence these past two months, however the post below of STXI Motion deserves some commentary, and I would like to relate to it, as someone working in international markets for over 30 years. In recent years, we hear of companies bragging about how great they are with sustainability, inclusive management, and care and value for their human resources. In many cases however, these are words only. I see this so often in my involvement in the corporate markets around the world. In many companies, concern, respect and care for employees is not a priority and often experienced and talented employees are not treated well and/or get fired. One can easily see this by the behavior of employees in such organizations; you see unmotivated workers making poor decisions not for the long term benefit of the company. I first met STXI at a trade show around the time Ori began to work there. I saw Roni Kedar and the sales and marketing team with such great team spirit. Over the years, Ori enjoyed working at this company that was always truly putting their human resources as their most valuable resource. He was working at a place where he truly cared about his coworkers. I should emphasize, that this day of honor mentioned in this post, is really just one of many kind activities that STXI and their employees have been doing for a long time, and more visible to me in recent months. The "financial benefit" for a more caring corporate behavior is not always seen in the short term. In addition to the benefit of doing what is morally good, customers of such organizations will also benefit when employees or more motivated and caring, and in the end , it will benefit the company's bottom line in the long term. Adi Kedar , Yosi Balbul and all the STXI team, keep up the good work!
🌟 Together, We Create Light 🌟 This week, we came together to honor the memory of our dear colleague, Ori Moshe Borenstein, who fell in combat on October 10, 2024. In his honor, we spent a meaningful day in the Mountains of Jerusalem, breathing in the fresh air and taking in the beauty of nature ⛰️. Ori’s legacy of love for nature 🌿, kindness to all 🤝, and passion for celebrating life’s joyful moments 🎉 continues to inspire us every day. The warm sunlight in December and the connection we shared as a team were a fitting tribute to Ori’s enduring light and the unity he always fostered 💛
