This ad is ICONIC, because it managed to do the impossible: - It screams loyalty to your team, but it’s also in the spirit of cricket - It's savage shade, but it’s no hate - It’s an ad supporting Team India, but from the pov of a Pakistani fan! An ad as good as this can’t be a one off. It became a series, and the Mauka Man came back every World Cup. It even led to Pakistani fans coming up with their own stats throwing shade at India, all in the spirit of sportsmanship. Sports bring people together like nothing can. While we are all chasing our year-end targets, here’s how we at Meraki Sport and Entertainment Pvt. Ltd have been c⃥h⃥a⃥s⃥i⃥n⃥g⃥ dominating our targets so far in 2024! We are only a few weeks into the year, but the cricketing calendar has already seen 2 major T20 leagues - SA20 and ILT20; and both leagues have been very successful with on-field action and its online reaction. With cricket conversations being at an all-time high, and Indian franchises at the forefront of that ecosystem, we are proud to have played our part in engineering high quality content and fan engagement with the Abu Dhabi Knight Riders, and the Sunrisers Eastern Cape. Abu Dhabi Knight Riders (ADKR) created the highest engagement across online platforms among the ILT20 teams, and the two-time champions of SA20 – Sunrisers Eastern Cape (SEC) lead the way among the SA20 teams. Today Morning while going through Instagram, I saw an advertisement of Wakefit featuring David Warner : Famous Australian Cricketer. Typically brands choose famous personalities as their brand ambassador as people can connect with them and it’ll increase the brand recall in their mind. But why an Australian Cricketer? Reasons behind the decision: 1. Cricket is a very famous sport in India. Approximately 43% of Indian population watch and follow cricket. 2. David Warner is a player who plays almost all form of cricket like Test, ODI, T20 & IPL, so Indians know him very well and can relate with him. 3. Also he got viral for his acting of iconic step and scenes of movie ‘PUSHPA’. 4. Wakefit brought the new temperature control mattress to the market, which tagline is ‘Mattress mein AC?’ and Warner reacting the same Pushpa iconic scene and saying ‘The fire in me only cools down only on Wakefit’.
