𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐨 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐨-𝐝𝐨 𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐧𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐬. But what if we flipped the script this year? Instead of striving for perfection, what if we focused on connection with others and ourselves? It’s easy to get lost in the hustle: ▪️ The perfect gift. ▪️ The flawless meal. ▪️ The spotless house. But here’s the thing: no one remembers perfection. They remember the laughter, the stories, and the little moments of joy. This holiday season, I’m focusing on what truly matters: creating meaningful moments with loved ones, carving out time for reflection, and embracing the joy of simply having fun. It’s not about doing it all, it’s about doing what feels right and making space for laughter, connection, and the things that energise us. How are you approaching the holidays this year? Are you letting go of perfection and focusing on connection, too? Let me know, I’d love to hear!

Stop going on disappointing holidays Start doing ‘Lessons learned’. No exaggeration, this has transformed our holidays from endurance events → joy. It’s so simple: - I keep a list of 'Holiday Lessons Learned' in my notes - After each holiday I add a few I like to do this on the way home: - So I can ask my husband and kids what they’d keep/change (they always think of things I didn’t) - And so I model the practice for my kids. (Deliberate reflection is a powerful habit they can use their whole lives long) I write the lessons down because - it makes your reflections deeper - you can check the file before your next holiday. You can see some of my ‘lessons learned’ below. (You don't want to know how we learned 'no milk on transport for Freya...) Do you have any lessons learned from this summer? Repost to help everyone have better holidays, and follow Rachel Carrell for more like this

The holidays don’t have to be a whirlwind of chaos. Here’s what I’m doing to keep things simple and joyful this year👇 1️⃣ Focus on what matters most – Time with family > perfection. 2️⃣ Say “no” more often – You don’t need to attend every party or event. 3️⃣ Keep gifts simple – Thoughtful over expensive every time. 4️⃣ Take care of yourself – A short walk or even 5 quiet minutes can help. 5️⃣ Enjoy the little moments – Laughter, hugs, and holiday movies are what truly count. Let’s make this season about joy, not stress. What’s one thing you’re doing to stress less this year?

There's a reason we call it a "birds eye view" or "10,000 foot view." It's because when zooming way out, we see so much more. The thing is, when we are in the mix of things, we don't get this perspective at all. Just think about the last time you were lost in a city. There were so many ways to go, big buildings all around you, and probably most every street looked the same. Then, when you looked at the map on your phone.... ....which, in effect, is this birds-eye view you can hold in your hand.... ....and it showed you exactly where to go.... ...everything was fine. When it comes to everyday life, when we're in the mix of things... ...it can be like getting lost in the city. And when we take time away from the grind... ...then we get the overview we need to make sure our leadership... ...and our life... ...is going in the right direction. Take some time over the holidays to do this for yourself. Just go and sit and contemplate. Maybe draw a picture. Or journal. And get some perspective on your own journey. Where have you been this last year? Where do you WANT to go next year? And what's going to get you there? Speaking of stepping back and reflecting... ...this is the last hack you'll see from me in the next few weeks... ...as I'm taking my own time to reflect. (And relax. And eat. And open & give presents...) So happy holidays... ...and see you in a few weeks.

Take Some Time to Pause This Season If you really take the time to look at all the events in your life, you will find that they change you, sometimes for the better and sometimes not. What we often take from these events depends on what we need to take from them especially during the time they are happening. The pending holidays will often cause many to stop and reflect upon their journey in a world that changes every day. People will make promises to change old habits while they affirm their desire to keep them. But sadly, they often do not follow through with their desires. As we approach this holiday season, with its’ start of a new year, look out for the unexpected situations that so often clutter these days. Remember that this is your journey, and you determine the direction you will take for your future life. However, sometimes you can even change the journeys for others. Take the time to be kind to someone you don’t know and give a bit more than you intended. Life is short and happiness really is built on the goodness we share with others. You will find the return is truly the best, and in this process these events will take on a deeper and more wonderful meaning, not just for you, but for everyone. Happy Holidays. Rik Cornell

Our limit equals the sum of the fears we didn't face! As humans our greatest asset, is our ability to innovate and push the limits of what's possible. At the same time, our greatest asset is also our greatest liability. Wether it is creating new music, art, technology, or business the process of innovation is challenging and filled with fears. Fears are composed of balancing risks and rewards- the price we might pay if we fail. With the arrival of a new year let's remind ourselves that the price of trying and failing is far less than the price of regret. let's make this year, the year of facing our fears and the year of redefining our limit. Happy holidays and a blessed new year

🎄 Happy Holidays, Everyone! 🎄 As we wrap up the year, I’ve been reflecting on something that might resonate with you too. Sometimes, we feel this quiet pressure to become our “best version” as if everything needs to happen right now. We race through goals, believing that urgency is the only way forward. But lately, I’m realizing – this rush? It’s just a thought that needs shifting. Who decided the timeline we’re all trying to follow anyway? In chasing the future, we often forget to appreciate the version of ourselves that exists today. And maybe, just maybe, the person we are right now deserves more love, patience, and grace than we offer. So, as the holiday lights glow and the year winds down, I’m giving my current self some space to breathe — while still holding space for the growth ahead. This is not just a reminder for you — it’s for me too. Wishing you all a peaceful, joyful holiday season filled with love for the now and hope for the next. Here’s to growth, grace, and enjoying the present. Happy Holidays! #GrowthMindset #SelfLoveJourney #HolidayReflections #EmbraceThePresent #PersonalGrowth
