Good morning, Black Professionals Ireland! As we kick off another week, let's talk about something that defines us: 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞. Resilience isn't just about bouncing back; it's about growing through challenges. It's the story of our community; of overcoming, adapting, and thriving. 📢 Question for you: What's a moment of resilience you've experienced recently, big or small? Maybe you spoke up in a meeting when it felt daunting. Perhaps you pursued that promotion despite the odds. Or maybe you simply showed up, day after day, in spaces where you felt underrepresented. Each of these moments? They're building blocks of change. Remember, your resilience isn't just your own; it's a beacon for others in our community. When you stand tall, you light the way for someone else. 💪🏾 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸'𝘀 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲: Reach out to a fellow Black professional in Ireland. Share a story of resilience, offer support, or simply listen. Our strength multiplies when we connect. Together, we're not just facing challenges, we're reshaping the professional landscape in Ireland. #BlackProfessionalsIreland #BlackExcellenceIreland #ResilienceMatters #MondayMotivation #CommunityStrength

Juneteenth is a symbol of freedom and progress. As the first Black executive leaders in the history of this organization, we not only reflect progress, but we’re committed to making more progress possible. Progress is a choice. We chose Advantage Solutions because we both fundamentally believe in what this organization does and has the power to do. Put simply: We have the power to get food and personal care items into homes from coast to coast. And that power does not discriminate. We live in every community we serve, and we recognize what we provide is essential. We chose Advantage because we saw an organization that is intentional about leading with purpose, prioritizes inclusion, puts people first and is unequivocable about belonging and impact. Alongside 70,000 teammates, we share our talents and intersectional perspectives to connect people, win hearts and fill carts — leading purposefully to enrich lives along the way. We chose Advantage because this company employs teammates of all backgrounds and experiences, and we provide a path for each to grow in a way that helps them achieve their personal and professional dreams. We care about what people do -- and importantly – we care about what we can help them become. We remain dedicated to this important work. We’re making bigger investments to evolve our employee experience and create a more equitable workplace where people know they’re safe, they belong and they can grow. We measure our success by what everyone achieves together. With a workplace that reflects the marketplace, we know we can serve all of our communities better -- with tenacity, drive and our whole hearts. On this Juneteenth, let’s all choose to pave the path of progress together with relentless resolve and relentless humanity. Winning Together Always, Kelli Hammersmith, Chief Communications Officer Pamela Morris-Thornton, Chief Human Resources Officer Learn more about Juneteenth here: https://lnkd.in/g_QFGgfW

Happy Juneteenth! On this day in 1865, enslaved people in Galveston, Texas were informed by Union soldiers that the Emancipation Proclamation had been signed, effectively ending slavery in the state. To commemorate the holiday, Google’s inclusion team — in partnership with the Black Googler Network (BGN) — is celebrating Juneteenth with the theme, “Living Legacies: an exploration of culture and community.” For many Black Googlers, BGN is a key source of culture and community in the office. When asked what this community means to him, Dalain W. — a data and insights lead based in Dallas — shared, “the support, fellowship, and sense of belonging BGN provides is unparalleled. It allows Googlers to develop an intimate sense of togetherness that fosters growth beyond the day to day work.” Zeru Feki, a senior account manager based in the Bay Area, shared a similar sentiment. “My involvement with BGN has transformed my experience at Google. Finding my tribe of individuals who share my background and passions gave me an incredible sense of belonging and empowers me to be my authentic self at work.” As we celebrate Juneteenth 2024, we’re focused on highlighting how each of us can play a role in driving change and building a more inclusive world. One of the first steps in this process is finding community, and we’re excited to spotlight just one of the many communities supporting Black Googlers and building a more inclusive workplace.
