Had a great time with Kurt Wettermann of Wettermann Homes, Inc today going over their build process and updates within the construction industry. Takeaways: 1) Lead times for materials and labor ARE getting back on track from COVID. 2) Prices for materials and labor are NOT coming down. “You can get people to show up, if you pay ‘em” - Kurt 3) Delays still happen even with labor and materials back on track. Not always, but no amount of forecasting can predict delays from things like rain or hurricanes.

Bentley is partnering with Harworth Group to deliver a large-scale residential and commercial development on the former Orgreave Colliery site in Rotherham. The project features an Advanced Manufacturing Park, over 2,000 residential plots, a 10-hectare community park, a hotel, a primary school, and the University of Sheffield Advanced Research Centre. Bentley is managing site preparation works, including drainage infrastructure, earthworks, landscaping, and Section 278 and 38 roads.
