Thank you to Steve Rayner James Rayner Rav Prasad and co. for the kind words. HR and construction are words rarely used in the same sentence. As a young business, we quickly realised that "you don't know what you don't know," and it was crucial for us to get it right from the start. Business Succession Planning: When the Kids Takeover Today we continue the ‘Meet Our Clients’ series of posts with an introduction to Trowse Constructions, a family-owned business with over 30 years of successful heritage here in Queensland (https://lnkd.in/g_47aKNH) When it came time for the founder, Andrew, to step back and enjoy the good life, he was confident that his choice of successor(s) was well founded. Daughter Emily & son Ben, took over the reins in 2023 after a well-developed succession plan was executed. With renewed vigour, enthusiasm and youthful ideas, Emily & Ben have been forging their own path. Success has already been enjoyed by Emily, Ben, and their dedicated team, having successfully won the Lourdes Hill College’s construction of stage 1A, B, C and D of the College’s Master Plan, designed to accommodate a growing student population. Stage 1A was a new 5 storey learning area, on a challenging site. The team have also continued their father’s sense of community spirit and completed an annex extension at Morningside Football Club, creating modern change rooms and utility rooms. All of this is testimony that a well-structured and thought-out succession plan, executed via a clear and well-communicated strategy, can make the ‘transition to the kids’ seamless, and in Trowse Constructions’ case, immediately successful.
