If your product: - Doesn’t solve a problem - Doesn’t make your customers say "Wow!" - Is difficult for customers to use Then it's time to focus on improving the product rather than investing in marketing. No marketing hack can save a product that doesn’t deliver value.

The biggest mistake I see founders make with marketing: The inability to see things from their customer's perspective. ❌ what do I want to say ✅ what do my customers want to hear? ❌ this landing page looks good to me ✅ is this landing page is clear and compelling to a new customer? ❌ this ad looks cool and engaging ✅ what kind of ad would be interesting to my customer? Customer-led marketing is the only marketing that produces consistent results. #marketing #advertising

One of the big ideas that has had an impact on me over the last several years was the idea of "Random Acts of Marketing" by Emily Kramer What is a random act of marketing? They are marketing efforts (sometimes big, mostly small) that are not tied to an overall strategy or big effort. If you keep your eyes open, you'll see a lot of them going on! I would argue that we could apply the same line of thinking over to product and there are a lot of random acts of product going on as well! #productmanagement #productmarketing
