TLDR; I got renewed as Microsoft MVP, in the category for Microsoft Azure, in the Cloud Native technology area. Today was, for Microsoft MVPs, what we call F5-day (or refresh day). It's the one day of the year were almost all Microsoft MVPs either get renewed, or leave the program. This is my third time doing this, and I have been really unsure if I would get renewed. Most of the things I work with are based on Cloud Native technology, the CNCF and Platform Engineering. I try to incorporate Azure-specifics when possible, but it is difficult to do when I talk about processes, culture, or vendor neutral technology. At least without it becoming too sales'y 😅 But Cloud Native is what Azure is built on. Their most popular services are cloud native, and I guess they must see the value of that still. This is my fourth year in the program, something which I am thankful for, and it is an honor to continue to represent the program this next year.
