Finally, it's done!🤩 Hacktoberfest is the starting point of my journey in the open-source world, where I have made connections and networked with amazing people. Starting open-source as a newbie was challenging for me. From only knowing how to upload a project to Github to how to create a Pull Request was an interesting journey. 👩💻 Initially, I created as many issues as I could, and there wasn’t any response, and not even a single issue was assigned to me. This gave me a sense of patience, that it’s absolutely normal to get a response even after a whole week. Then, I started getting responses gradually. There came a time when I couldn’t even handle all the tasks and fix all the issues assigned to me. Overall, this journey has been fascinating. I have had many opportunities to connect and network with the open-source community; the only thing required is patience and consistency. But no swags and t-shirts this year, sad 🙄😑😕😒 A big thanks to Microsoft Learn Student Ambassadors UET Taxila for arranging workshops and guiding me through out. #hacktoberfest #opensource #learningtogether

📢Intro to Git & GitHub Session and Hacktoberfest Organized by Microsoft Learn Student Ambassadors UET Taxila Microsoft Learn Student Ambassadors UET Taxila recently held an online session introducing students to the basics of Git and GitHub and giving an overview of Hacktoberfest. Hamza Sajid led the Git and GitHub segment, covering version control, managing code repositories, and collaborating on projects. This part of the session helped beginners understand how Git and GitHub make it easier to organize and work on code with others. Syed Moazam Ali then introduced Hacktoberfest, an annual event that encourages developers around the world to contribute to open-source projects. He explained how to find good projects to contribute to, make helpful contributions, and participate to earn Hacktoberfest rewards.
