With so many people trying to sell this and that and influential people on social networks on every corner, everyone is overloaded with information and content. The myth has been fueled that sellers don’t have a “real job” and that they don’t really want to help the potential customer. Sales are a very legitimate career option that is incredibly challenging. It requires a person who is authentic, focused on creating value and genuinely interested in helping people. It’s one thing to close a deal, but it’s another to be able to worry about consumer empowerment. The most successful salespeople understand that helping people is the most important job of all.
