How can social media be used to boost skiing performance? 📱 Outcome-based comparisons on social media can be detrimental to athletic performance. It’s easy to scroll through Instagram, see a race result, and feel demotivated. As skiers, we can combat this by seeing the bigger picture of an athlete’s progress and understanding how they achieved that podium finish and how many days of improvement they dedicated themselves to. Progress is a process, and through patience and hard work, we will begin to see positive outcomes. #apex2100 #skiacademy #skiing #skiracing #skiracer #motivation #fisalpine #winter #slalomskiing #internationalbaccalaureate #ibworldschool #athleticdevelopment

This is such a great initiative, and we certainly need more programs like this here in the US. Research strongly indicates that plenty of sports injuries - particularly in high-intensity sports like skiing - can be avoided with proper training and risk awareness/mitigation strategies. Educating athletes both professional and recreational should be a top priority. #sportsinjuries #skiing #injuryprevention

How many ski lessons to get a beginner skiing on the slopes? That depends on the athletic ability of the skier. This article is very insightful. Treat your ski newbie with at least 3 back to back lessons. Don't try teaching them yourself. The instruction is better to come from someone else. Also, pick a sunny day so they learn to love it. https://lnkd.in/gDk-y2S3
