On the 16th of April I will participate in a panel discussion at the Green Business Forum: https://lnkd.in/dDutKWWM The panel will be about the uncomfortable conversations we need to have in the field of sustainable entrepreneurship. As my focus is mainly on what we can do in the education system, I will not only focus on what entrepreneurs and startups can do to become more sustainable, but also on how we get students who are passionate about sustainability to become more entrepreneurial. However, the road that actors within the education system must navigate to accomplish this is not very well-pawed, to say the least, and there is a lot of friction when the two worlds meet. Without a doubt, the cooperative model fits in perfectly with all of these initiatives because it is fundamental to the DNA of every cooperative to promote subsidiarity, democratic control, ethical business, community empowerment, equity, and, most importantly, it is human-centered rather than profit-oriented.

Feeling energized after decompressing from a week at The Gathering! Here is another important chapter from the 2024 AIB UKI Book - "Sustainability in Entrepreneurial Ecosystems Going Global" by Prof David Audretsch & Antje Fiedler The #entrepreneurial #ecosystem literature increasingly includes the concept of #sustainability. In this chapter, the authors explore the mechanism by which the pursuit of sustainable opportunities within entrepreneurial ecosystems is becoming increasingly internationally connected. Specifically, it is argued that structural factors that connect local ecosystems to international networks impact the capacity of entrepreneurial ecosystems for more inclusive growth opportunities, supporting #SDG8. Furthermore, the authors identify globally connected entrepreneurs, including, returnee entrepreneurs, immigrant entrepreneurs, and global argonauts as key contributors to the dissemination of sustainable ideas between entrepreneurial ecosystems and across national borders. The chapter offers insights into new research opportunities related to entrepreneurial ecosystems, sustainability, and international business.
