I get to interact with residents on a daily basis, learn about their lives and passions, and help them make the best of their later years. We do all sorts of fun things in Life Enrichment, like bowling, parties, poetry club, Wheel of Fortune, exercise, recently a National Pickle Day talk, etc., but we're more than just "the fun people." We are among the eyes and ears that keep tabs on our residents, catching changes in behavior, mood, and so much more. It's the kind of role that is constantly adapting to whatever the new day brings and meeting residents where they are at." 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐋𝐢𝐟𝐞 𝐄𝐧𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐡𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐭 𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐞 𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐥: - Developing, organizing, and implementing activities geared toward programming, with the assistance from other staff as needed. This includes one-on-one, small, and large group activities. - Facilitate therapeutic programs in order to maintain or increase individual functioning levels and/or interest pursuits. - Guide interested individuals to and from program locations, as necessary. - Demonstrate creativity in designing programs, to promote a variety of techniques, styles, and individual preferences. - Adapt programs to meet individual needs and/or interests. Since Interviews kick off tomorrow, our team won't have the capacity to do this again. Wish we could because there are a few promising-looking resumes but a resume simply doesn't tell the story we need to understand whether an applicant can be shortlisted. PPS: Only 4 so far responded - I'll be looking out for their portfolio's because I appreciate the time these applicants have taken to invest in their chance of landing an interview. It's the little things!
