Many of you may not know this about me, but when I was 18 (just started my Freshman year at UW-Stout) I deleted all of my social media. I didn’t redownload Instagram until 3 years later when creating an account for Door Born, my new business at the time. I thought, “I can handle the social media, it’ll be easy.” Boy, was I wrong. Here are some things I’ve learned since 2020 about growing an audience for your business on social media: 1. Attention is currency in today’s economy. If you’re not able to quickly grasp attention and maintain it, you won’t get it. 2. You need to be FOR your customers. Your social media cannot be just about your business, or even worse - just about you. It needs to be about your customers. Make them feel apart of the brand by responding to them, collaborating with them, and posting about them. 3. Consistency is key! You need to be posting as much content as you can crank out. You cannot worry about perfection on every post. By no means am I a pro at social media, but I’m committed to continuing to learn and improve my content and grow Door Born. I get a kick out of every post he posted over the past few months, and I'm about to go and order a lightbox sign for no reason haha.. That's how good his social marketing is! Sometimes, you just have to go with it and keep your strategy simple, direct and effective. Everyday he has come up with a short script, impersonating Trump, doing different accents to sharing simple and cost effective of getting signs made by LC Sign.

I'm doing a “30 Days of Doing Epic Shit” challenge on Instagram. From 1 January 2024, I decided to take a challenge for 30 days on Instagram. The challenge is about posting a video on “what I love to do” per day for 30 days. The purpose of this challenge is to mentally prepare myself for future travel-based challenges. What is the recipe to gain followers, and subscribers and create content that people will enjoy and on the way will like your creativity and relate to your way of storytelling? Combining all the things I love | traveling, food, history, and in one-word culture was my way to gain almost 10k followers and almost 500K views on Instagram in six months give or take. Who knew that all I needed was to set myself free and be more me, simple as I am and true to my voice. So now my mission is to make more collaboration and team up with your brand and company and this is where you come in You must be thinking why should we invest in you? Well, I did it on my own, with no support whatsoever (it included that nobody paid me either) nobody had my back and held my hand, and I know you will say that the obvious isn’t?
