Happy Friday LinkedIn! I know a lot of people are hurting from the last week and don't feel validated and valued - all my best and support to you! #Ally. I'm hurting too so #empathy and #compassion are the emotions of my day - #weareinthistogether. Greetings from Chicago Lakefront today! Thank God for Nature and our Earth, let's continue to take #ClimateAction. The Geese are hanging in Chicago for a bit, they know a good thing. It's tough to be a human being right now and it's tough to be a job seeker too - hang in there, I'm there in the trenches with you! There's no getting around it - I love to work for a company or organization ideally with a global vision that has a mission beyond just making money. Still on the hunt, want to excited to be a part of a team and #mission-based business or organization. Seems like a lot of companies and leaders/hiring managers I really am attracted to don't see the value in responding to a message following my applications. This is a head-scratcher to me - you are brand ambassadors for your company and your mission/purpose and for goodwill in the marketplace/spreading the word and you should never assume that someone seeking a job now won't be in a position of influence or a voice of influence now. I realize people are busy but I think a zero response policy - either explicit or de facto - sends the wrong message about what their company or organization's core values and culture stands for. Oh well, just wanted to vent a bit. Time's running out for this year and want to get back to work. Be well, good people and treat others well - there's a lot of pain out there and #kindness goes a long way in making lifes' struggles a bit easier. The other thing is there are lots of scams on LI, watch out and be wary, friends and colleagues! If you have a legit opp to reach out to me about, happy to hear from you #ContractSeniorRecruiter #ContractLeadRecruiter #ContractExecutiveRecruiter #ContractTalentAcquisitionPartner #ContractTalentAcquisitionManager #ContractStartupRecruiter #ContractTechnicalRecruiter #SeniorTechnicalRecruiter #LeadRecruiter #ExecutiveRecruiter #TalentAcquisitionPartner #TalentAcquisitionManager #StartupRecruiter

There’s something special about working with someone who’s been by your side for almost your entire career. Liz Harman and I met at our first professional job at a company called Knowledge Alliance. Over the years, we moved together to different organizations, growing and evolving as professionals and as friends. When I started my own business, it only made sense for us to continue working together. Having someone like Liz on my team has been a game-changer. We’ve built a level of trust and understanding that you just can’t manufacture overnight. We know each other’s strengths, can anticipate each other’s moves, and there’s an unspoken sense of loyalty that makes our collaboration seamless. In today’s fast-moving work environment, we often focus on new connections, networking, and expanding our circles. But there’s something to be said for the relationships you’ve built over the years—the ones that stand the test of time and help you grow both professionally and personally. Thank you Liz for all that you do for us! What’s your experience with long-term professional relationships? #teamwork #recruitment #talent

Full circle moments are so powerful! ✨️ A few weeks ago, I had the opportunity to connect with my friends at Bonsai Leadership Group LLC to talk about workplace culture and the intricacies of the job search process. Why is this moment particularly special? Just over two years ago, I was interviewing with Bonsai as they led searches for my former organization. At that time, I was in the early stages of navigating a significant personal loss, and LaTresse Snead, Bonsai's founder and CEO, held space for both my emotional state and her client’s needs. She ensured that humanity was not just an afterthought, but fully woven into the recruitment process. Her honesty, kindness, and transparency created an experience that was both professional and deeply personal, balancing the importance of recruiting practitioners with skill and heart. This isn't always the norm, and I had the privilege of shedding light on this through Bonsai’s Blog! What advice would you give to those navigating the job search? Let’s talk! #workplace #workplaceculture #hiring #recruitment #millennial #genz #multigenerational #jobsearch
