GenDitNetwork 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 & 𝗙𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 Missed this years Military and Veterans event of the year? Please check out the round up video of the event, which can also be viewed on the new GDN directory website. 𝐖𝐢𝐧𝐬 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐝𝐚𝐲: The Ikigai message really hit home with people now implimenting it in their daily lives and forward decision-making choices. Business to business was booming with many of the organisations securing new interests and orders. People received so much assistance from the coaching, cv and industry guidance. Members received free training, raffle prizes, pizza, new headshots, and so much more. The value from the GDN events is hard to quantify due to the knock of impact beyond the day. Below is the planned outline for the future of GDN events and why. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐅𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞: The GenDitNetwork is not a recruitment company, it's more than that. It is there to connect the community and bring purpose and value to all attendees. I organise these events in my spare (personal & family) time, which can put unnecessary pressure on parts of my life. So this has driven the next decision. 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐛𝐞 𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠: One big quality event per year. Same time, around the GDN birthday of 19th March. Same place, Bristol Ashton Gate Stadium. A different theme each year. Traction and value will grow each year. People can plan their diaries way in advance. 𝐒𝐨.. 𝐖𝐡𝐨 𝐢𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐧𝐞𝐱𝐭 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫? Ive already found a way to improve from this year. Very exciting times. 😃😃😃 Happy and enthusiastic faces, since significant week ahead of all of us involved in #GEXTRECS project 📡 The first, official demonstrations of the #GOVSATCOM Crisis Management Service Pack developed in the scope of the GEXTRECS project are about to be run at 2 locations: ⚓the Port of Vigo, Spain on Nov. 15 🏥the Training Base Weeze, Germany on Nov. 18 Before the demonstrations commence, in order to overcome any barriers between technical partners and actual End-Users, on Nov. 14 the consortium is meeting on the #training. During #demonstrations we will dive into specific use case scenarios with our GEXTRECS partners, showcasing specific #SATCOM services and synergies with #CopernicusEU and #Galileo #GNSS. I was honored to be a speaker at the 39th Space Symposium last week, and many thanks to my good friend and colleague Troy Thomas at Boston Consulting for sponsoring the panel. During the panel, I advocated for the USG to provide a pathway for on-orbit operational demonstrations of new space tech through a regular cadence of dedicated launches to showcase such capabilities. Such “innovation” launches would help address the issue of flight heritage, one of the biggest obstacles to getting new space tech adopted. A very large portion of the space innovation economy is locked out of paying for their own demonstrations due to costs, and nearly all USG R&D grant programs simply aren’t sufficient to both develop needed tech and pay for a launch to demo it. This deprives our space forces from seeing and choosing from the most cutting-edge emerging capabilities they could use. The non-space part of the DoD is rich in opportunities for innovation and experimentation in operationally relevant environments, and as such, enjoys a far more rapid uptake of new capabilities when compared to our forces in space. The US can never allow itself to be in a fair fight—we must always have a technological edge over our adversaries, particularly in space. Hands-up ✋ who loved an air show when you were a kid? ✈️ I can still picture in my mind those days out at the likes of Abingdon and Duxford, and not just the scenes in the skies above but the vast number of exhibitors and interactive activities.
