The gap we bridge excites me!!!! This happened a while back and was wondering when we'd share... this news is music to my ears. Those in this space understand how important absorption is. And finding a perfect host employer is key... We deliberately partner with small businesses rather than big corporates. We understand what they are trying to build and we want to grow it with them.. We could easily collaborate with well-established companies, but it will sell out our mission... Because we are clear on this one thing: we Grow People. Grow Businesses! One intern at a time. One business at a time. It's a marathon this, not a sprint 😉 Did you get to listen to this conversation: https://bit.ly/4bgXqNI Care to hear your thoughts...
Congratulations on becoming employees ...Lebohang & Katlego from our 2nd cohort 🎉 🎊 🥂 . Kudos to our host employers who see value in our work... For this reason, we grow businesses by growing people... Perfect combo.

Planning Christmas activities for both staff and the community can take a lot of work alongside day to day business tasks. We started planning a month ago! How do you juggle finding time to prepare for Christmas and ensuring day to day business continues as normal? and the big question is, is it ever too early to start? 🎄 As a big Christmas fan, my answer is no, it’s never too early! But between Christmas social media content, client messages, staff Christmas parties, community/charity support and more… time can escape you very quickly! We like to make sure we have a team involved, rather than it being one person’s responsibility so we can achieve more in a shorter space of time and it remains manageable! P.S Can you spot what they are making? 👀
Our creative team have started Christmas preparations for one of our annual traditions... it's never too early! 🎄

Thank you Wily LLC and Eric Gorman for having me today! Typically when chugging along in all the work to be done, we don’t get the chance to glance back at the through line of our stories, so thanks for this opportunity to reflect on my journey in innovation! If you haven’t heard of Wily before, check them out at https://www.wearewily.com. When should you engage their services? Here are some ideas: 🎯When you are trying to pinpoint the challenge or key intervention point of a problem you are addressing to make things better. 👥When you need to facilitate a diverse set of roles and perspectives to build a solution or move work forward. 💡When you have an initial idea of what you want to do but need to build more support. You can hire them to do the work or sign up to learn how to do the work! The next opportunity to advance your skill set with them is coming up and as someone who learned so many useful tools in this training, you should check it out: https://lnkd.in/dBNntp9a

🌟 Why Team Building Matters 🌟 In today’s fast-paced work environment, successful companies understand that growth is built on strong teams. That's why investing in team-building activities is more important than ever! Here are a few reasons why team-building initiatives can make a difference: 🔹 Enhanced Collaboration Team-building exercises break down silos, encouraging people from different departments to connect and work together. This helps bridge gaps, creates open communication channels, and fosters a collaborative culture. 🔹 Boosted Morale and Engagement Happy teams are productive teams! Engaging in fun, non-work-related activities can refresh and re-energize employees, making them feel valued and motivated. This often leads to improved job satisfaction and higher retention rates. 🔹 Increased Trust and Empathy Through challenges and activities, colleagues can understand each other's strengths, weaknesses, and working styles. Building trust within teams is key to creating a positive work environment where people feel comfortable expressing ideas and giving feedback. 🔹 Better Problem-Solving Skills Team-building often includes activities that require creative problem-solving, pushing employees to think outside the box. This can lead to enhanced critical thinking skills that benefit projects and client solutions down the line. When a company invests in its people, it shows! Team-building isn’t just a “nice-to-have”—it's a strategic advantage. 🌐 How has your organization benefitted from team-building? TEAM TALK - VOL. 5 🖐️ Everyone, say hi to Dan (our go-to, always-up-to-the-task man). 🤜🤛 Today, we’re shining a spotlight on our Head of Business Development, Daniel Hall. Dan joined the Farosian team just over five years ago and quickly became a key pillar within our company after showcasing his skills and unwavering tenacity in sales and business development. Dan is part of Farosian’s furniture and has played a vital role in building our company from the ground up, learning a lot about business and himself along the way. When Dan is not hard at work, you can find him running on the beach with his dogs (otherwise known as his children) or cheering on his favourite football teams, which, judging by his weekly updates in our team meetings, don’t seem to be doing so well. ⚽️ Fun fact about Dan: he is a dad-joke connoisseur. A massive shoutout to Dan for his constant hard work and for being an all round team player. We look forward to many future successes with Dan on our team! 🏆 . . . #EmployeeRecognition #teamwork #meettheteam #companyculture #employeeexperience #employeeengagement #teamtalk #sales #businessdevelopment #Socialmedia #technology #tech #backgroundcheck #recruitment #rectech #HR #hrtech #humanresources #workculture #DataAnalytics

I recently hosted a 3-Day Virtual Onsite for my team with the following objectives: * Elevating organizational awareness (Just what do those people over there do?) * Team building (Brick-and-mortar structures were not involved) * Fostering self-reflection (What motivates me? What do I value about my job?) * Emphasizing the importance of gratitude and appreciation The schedule looked like this: 4 cross-functional sessions, 2 internal workshops, 3 team building activities, an external guest speaker, a session hosted by my director, and a fireside chat with one of the co-founders. That should cover it, right? With the objectives of the Virtual Onsite focused on intangibles, it will be difficult to measure whether my objectives will be met. Early observations, however, reveal the following: * People are amazingly willing to help achieve a common goal. Asking for help is the hard part. * The level of engagement is directly correlated to the format of presentation / activities. * I work for an organization that absolutely cares about its employees as individuals. * I wasn't prepared for the multitude of joy, smiles, and laughter from my team during these three days. I'm grateful for having been given the opportunity to bring the team together to collaborate, educate, and celebrate. I love my job!

Hello friends, scientists and communicators! Here is a little #mondaymotivation for you all. At CSIRO Publishing I run so many workshops and very frequently hear participants say "my English isn't good enough for academic writing" or "I'm not confident with my English." I have a confession: Despite teaching writing for a living, good spelling and grammar don't come easily to me and I've had to put in the practice. In fact the post I'm sharing comes from someone who was extremely patient with my early academic writing efforts and personally inspires me. Dr Michael Seery shares a mural from their workplace at the Centre for Academic Language and Develop at the University of Bristol: "Academic Language is no one's mother tongue". I would like to add that no one is born a good writer - there are just people that have had more practice at it! I hope this inspires you today to put aside your worries about being a "good writer", sit down and write for 15 minutes and practice writing some words on a page. Come back and edit them later. #academicwriting #scientificwriting #peerreviewed #motivation #writinghabits #science

This is awesome! Recognition goes a long way! Are you showing your employees that you appreciate them? How? If not, why? In leadership, it’s always important to recognize the good, not just the areas of improvement. Your direct reports should feel comfortable coming to have a conversation with you, and not full of anxiety. Happy Customer Service week! #leadwithpurpose #yourfavoritemanager
