Last week, the AD team came together to give back to children in need at Cradles to Crayons Philadelphia. By sorting, packing, and preparing donations, we were able to play a role in making sure every child has the resources they need to grow, learn, and succeed. From team spirit to giving back, it was an inspiring day that truly embodies the heart of who we are. We’re grateful to Cradles to Crayons and our AD teams for working together to brighten the lives of children and create lasting change in our communities. #TogetherWeHelp #ServeOthers #GivingBack

It's so great to see other non-profit organizations lift each other up on GivingTuesday, a day when the interwebs can get flooded with #GivingTuesday campaigns and donation asks. Here's my pitch for Spread the Word Nevada: Got a spare $5? That can provide a new book this holiday season to a child that needs it the most. Book ownership is crucial to shaping our future because it equips children with the tools for success. Your contribution puts books in the hands of children in underserved communities who need them most. Owning books fosters a love of reading, boosts literacy skills, and encourages lifelong learning. For children, access to books at home improves academic performance, critical thinking, and creativity, setting them up for brighter futures. When we provide books to those who might otherwise go without, we’re investing in empowered, informed citizens who will drive positive change for generations to come. Book ownership isn’t just about stories; it’s about unlocking potential and shaping a better tomorrow. Give here: https://lnkd.in/gF9C8PAT #books #childrensbooks #children #childreninneed
Happy Giving Tuesday! 💙📖 This holiday season, join us in spreading the joy of reading. Be part of a heartwarming tradition that brings the magic of books to children in need. #GivingTuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. Over the past 10 years, this idea has grown into a year-round global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity. ✨️ We’re thrilled to announce that every dollar you give today will go twice as far thanks to the generosity of The Jon E. Cobain Trust. The Jon E. Cobain Trust has pledged to match all donations up to $10,000 — helping us further our mission to put books into the hands and homes of Nevada’s children in underserved communities. Looking for ways to give back to your community? Here are a few….
I spent the last few days in Pennsylvania for a Marketing Strategy Meeting. Once again, I saw first-hand this credit union’s dedication to community outreach, as they’re currently managing three holiday charity projects: Toys for Tots, Angel Tree, and a donation drive for Arise Crisis Shelter of Lawrence County to assemble Christmas Eve Family Boxes. I gladly took a small donation to make sure a few kiddos at the shelter had some fun games for Christmas. What’s even more impactful is Branch Manager Lisa Magee's collaboration with Arise to offer financial education workshops. These sessions will empower women in the shelter, as well as those transitioning out, with the tools and knowledge they need to build financial independence. A big shoutout to GNC Community Federal Credit Union CEO Julia G. and her incredible team - Cheri Sabino, CCUFC, Lisa Magee and Renae Colaizzi - for their unwavering commitment to making a big difference in their community! #PeopleHelpingPeople #CreditUnionDifference #CreditUnions #CommunityOutreach

The holidays are a time to reflect, give back, and make a difference—and we’re in the final stretch of supporting Firefly Children & Family Alliance’s Hope for the Holidays campaign. At Trustpointe, we’ve made it a tradition to fill our donation box with contributions from clients, neighbors, and friends to help families in need. Last year, this program brought joy to over 1,200 children, but there’s still work to do. 𝗔𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝟭𝟱𝟳 𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗻 𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲 𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗱. 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲’𝘀 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽: 1. Why do we do what we do? Imagine - for most wanting to play sports, be active, invest in their physical health- you go to the store and purchase a bike, a bat, a glove, a basketball, tennis racket, shoes or whatever you need and you get out on that court, field, track, or go to the gym and enjoy what you love doing. For others it’s not that easy. It requires adaptive equipment that unfortunately costs THOUSANDS and can’t be picked up at your local department store and inclusive fitness opportunities that are designed for those who face challenges or obstacles to promote achieving their goals. No child or person deserves to sit on the sidelines simply because they don’t have the means to participate. The work of the IM ABLE Foundation is vital to help adaptive individuals not only physically, but truly impacts them mentally, emotionally and socially when given the opportunity to participate, to succeed, and to achieve their goals. EVERY person or business who invests in our work recognizes the value and worth of those who just need a little help. The reward- the tears of joy, the endless smiles, the contagious laughter and the confidence boost every adaptive individual shares as those barriers are broken. Together we change lives 🫶 If you want to know more about IM ABLE, please reach out.
As the seasons change, so do the possibilities for children in our community. With your generous donations, we are able to provide life-changing equipment grants and program opportunities that empower kids to experience the joy of movement and play. $5,000 helps us provide a specialized bike for a child, giving them the freedom to join in the fun, ride alongside friends, and create lasting memories with family — all things we often take for granted but can make an incredible difference for kids with physical challenges. Every dollar you contribute goes directly toward purchasing equipment that allows kids to live their best lives, breaking down barriers and opening up a world of possibilities! Together, we can help make this fall season unforgettable for a child in need. Change lives with your donation today: https://lnkd.in/eCPiBCpz #FallAppeal #GiveBack #IMABLE #BreakingBarriers #InclusionForAll #EquipmentGrants #MakingADifference #DonateToday

Housing - A Basic Human Right: It’s easy to dismiss those experiencing homelessness as outcasts, often thinking, “Just go get a job,” without acknowledging the complex circumstances many face. In a society heavily reliant on credit, many individuals cannot secure housing simply because of poor credit—a barrier stemming from a lack of financial literacy, a skill not everyone is taught. Managing money, building credit, and navigating financial systems are relatively modern concepts and can feel foreign, especially when compared to societies where credit is not the primary pathway to housing, such as in parts of Africa or other regions with different economic systems. Moreover, mental health struggles add another layer of difficulty. Some individuals cannot maintain stable housing due to challenges with mental health, yet Western society often expects everyone to achieve perfect mental health, an excellent credit score, and impeccable money management to be deemed “acceptable.” This expectation is far removed from the reality of the human condition, where many factors, often beyond one’s control, impact stability. This is why organizations like St. Joseph Center are vital. They help people experiencing homelessness—families, individuals, and children—transition from the streets into housing. Housing is not a privilege; it’s a basic human right. This holiday season, regardless of political views, consider donating to the St. Joseph Center. They are making an undeniable difference in the lives of many, proving that we are all interconnected. What affects one human being affects us all. By supporting organizations like this, we not only provide shelter but also empower individuals to thrive, dream, and contribute to a stronger economy. Together, we can make a significant impact on our society. When people’s basic needs, like housing, are met, the entire community benefits. Together, let’s support the mission to end homelessness and create a society where everyone has the opportunity to live with dignity, a fundamental right that we all deserve. Let's show our empathy and compassion by supporting this cause.
🎂✨ Celebrating Jimmy Kimmel today! In honor of his birthday, he and Molly McNearney are generously matching $50,000 in donations to support families in need through St. Joseph Center!
