🚀 Meeting of three Interreg CENTRAL EUROPE Programme projects: Greene 4.0, SMART CIRCUIT, and CURIOST INTERREG CENTRAL EUROPE! 🌍   On July 30th, an inspiring meeting took place at NordicHouse in Kraków, the headquarters of the South Poland Cleantech Cluster (SPCleantech), between SPCleantech and the Krakowski Park Technologiczny | Krakow Technology Park (KTP) regarding joint activities aimed at entrepreneurs in the Małopolska region. SPCleantech is the operator of the regional One-Stop Shop krk HubRenowacji, a comprehensive service point for building thermal modernization and renovation, and a partner in the EU project CURIOST. 🚀 Norway still falls on the innovation index. There are many reasons for this. One reason could be too much focus and demands on green innovation, where ideas that do not have the green color fall out, as they do not fit into the green investment. But the most common reasons are still a lack of funding and poor market adaptation. A lack of product/market fit. In the last 6-7 years, new methodologies and tools and mindsets (imported from Silicon Valley) have been introduced to help founders build a business model that increases the opportunities for startup companies. These are still not well enough adopted in Norway compared to e.g. our neighbors Sweden. Much can be done better in the early phase with methodology, tools and mindsets tailored to innovation processes.

Iceland Ocean Cluster´s Verbud is an environment developed to support the next generation of ocean actors. This platform seeks individuals, teams, or startups with knowledge, great ideas, and even existing early-stage solutions to address identified industry challenges and support them through Verbud´s innovation development environment to get these ideas off the ground and create value. Applications will be evaluated in collaboration with our partners Marel Fish, Hedinn, and Reiknistofa fiskmarkaða RSF and a network of experts. Deadlines for the applications is the 10th of May. Pitching, working on prototypes, checking hypotheses, gaining and sharing knowledge: let’s have an overview of B-test activities and achievements in 2024. ✅ 1.6 M dkk of funding: We got #Innoexplorer from Innovation Fund Denmark and support from Boligfonden Kuben spilekasse 🌱 Our growth was also greatly supported by #SpinOuts Denmark program: we got knowledge of various aspects of business development, excelled in pitching, and made a promotional video (can be found in comments). 🚀 Now we are a part of #DanishTechChallenge together with 15 other hardware startups aiming to advance our product development. 🔬 We tested 5 materials for one of the parts of our prototype. It is now closer to be functional in field conditions. We plan to visit 28 sites in different locations with various ground conditions for beta-testing. ▶️ Emil Mejlhede Kinslev and Efthymios Panagiotis joined the team to work on prototype improvement and on estimation of the impact of our solution for different stakeholders ✅ Irene Rocchi and Alena Zhelezova participated in two conferences: #ISC7 Barcelona and Nordic Geotechnical Meetings #NGM2024 in Goteborg. The article authored by Irene in Géotechnique Letters “Novel procedure for measuring the saturation of the pore-pressure system in piezocone tips” became open-access and available for public (please find a link in comments). We will continue beta-testing campaign and plan to make the first sale in 2025. Stay tuned!
