If you are not yet aware of how #alkpositive #lungcancer can impact your world, please learn more about David Cornbrooks' story and his incredible #SweatForBreath effort to save lives.
Yesterday, I #sweatforbreath at CycleBar with 45 family and friends in Arlington, VA. We are so incredibly grateful for yet another group of enthusiastic supporters willing (and brave enough) to do something new, intimidating, and hard to raise awareness and funds for #alkpositive #lungcancer research at Johns Hopkins. Thank you to the hundreds who have participated, sweat and donated so far! Will you #SweatForBreath? Link in bio! Donate. Sweat. Share. #lcam #lcam24 #lungcancerawarenessmonth

September is an important month as it honors the courage of those living with SCIs and their families. However, most people don't realize the challenges that they may face - such as needing a wheelchair-adaptive home and vehicle, around-the-clock medical care, outside support, assistance, or finding wheelchair-accessible businesses. Observing National Spinal Cord Injury Month aims to spread awareness and educate the general public about SCI and help to improve the support for those living with SCI. Here are some ways you can help: ◾ Donate, join a fundraiser or organization to show your support. ◾ Become an advocate to support those with SCI. ◾ Utilize social media to share information on fundraisers, volunteer organizations, resources, or your own story. ◾ Spend time with friends or loved ones with SCI, and listen to and support their goals. At MCPF, our mission is to continue to help SCI research and find a cure for paralysis. Even the smallest amount goes a long way, so please consider donating today. Visit MCPF.org to learn more. #SpinalCordInjury #SCIAwarenessMonth #Awareness #Support

It's #PiDay, which celebrates the mathematic constant pi since 3,1, and 4 are the first three significant figures of π! For those in the #PICommunity, however, the acronym PI stands for primary immunodeficiencies. In honor of today being Pi Day, donate any derivative of Pi to help those #LivingWithPI! Whether you can gift $31.40 or $314, any amount makes an impact. https://bit.ly/3P5xwnQ

Last night was very humbling. I had the opportunity to return to the place that gave me the tools to restart my life, and I will forever be grateful for that. Since it is Movember, which focuses on Mens Health, I have a story to share. I recently passed the 6yr mark of sobriety, but it felt a bit different this year. The first 5 years of sobriety, I took it very seriously and put all my effort into changing my frame of mind from very negative to positive. After receiving my 5-year medallion last year, things changed. I started taking every aspect of my life for granted because my life on paper looked great. I didn't take my sobriety and spirituality serious, my ego was telling me, "Jeff, you don't need that anymore. You got this." I was isolating myself and didn't reach out to my positive influences, which led to months of depression and recently planning my demise. Normal people would say, "You have a great life, how could you be depressed?" I suffer from depression because I'm not one of the normal people. I've suffered from depression since I was 13 years old, but fortunately, I now have the tools to recover. I share this because many men don't have the tools available. Please, if you're suffering inside, make a call and talk to someone. It may save your life. Take care of yourselves. 9-8-8: Suicide Crisis Helpline #mensmentalhealth #sobriety #Movember #recovery #depression
Last night, it was an honor for Klass Drywall to attend Westover Treatment Centre's Thursday Night Meet & Greet. We were proud to present them with a donation raised through our second annual Golf Tournament, and we’re grateful to see how our community continues to come together for such an important cause. Klass Drywall President, Jeff Pomietlarz, also had the privilege of speaking at the event, where he shared his personal experiences and offered words of hope and encouragement to those in attendance. It was a truly inspiring evening, and we’re thankful to be part of a network that supports healing and growth. #GivingBack #CommunitySupport #KlassDrywallinc #WestoverTreatmentCentre #HopeInAction #construction
