There’s nothing quite like spending your Saturday morning in a virtual waiting room, desperately hoping to snag tickets for a band that defined a generation. Over an hour in, and I’m still nowhere near the front of the line—talk about Wonderwall woes! 😅 But here’s the thing: the longer I wait, the more I want those tickets. Oasis may have mastered the art of Britpop, but they’ve also perfected another skill—creating demand. This got me thinking about business. Whether it’s tickets or products, creating that sense of urgency and desire is key. Just like how thousands of us are glued to our screens for these tickets, the same principles apply to driving demand for our own brands: -Scarcity: Limited availability makes people want it more. -Exclusivity: Everyone wants to feel like they’re getting something special. -Anticipation: Building up excitement before a launch can do wonders. Who knew a ticket queue could be so inspiring? 😆

We're blessed to work on a variety of exciting projects - from smaller brand initiatives to high-end development applications. Often, we start with small projects that grow into bigger opportunities. This growth usually comes from our approach: serving our clients' needs rather than pushing our own agenda. A couple of years ago, we created a custom March Madness bracket for Great American Family, allowing their viewers to vote on their favorite Christmas movies. It was a fun project that ran alongside the basketball frenzy. But it didn't end there. We've consistently partnered with them on various projects since. This week, our team Ardent Creative Inc proudly launched the Christmas Event site for Great American Family. It's a testament to how small beginnings can lead to significant, ongoing collaborations. Oh, and yes, It's Christmas time in July. 😎 You can check it out here: https://lnkd.in/gWT7DgJ4 How have your client relationships evolved over time? Have you experienced similar growth from small projects to major partnerships? #ClientRelationships #ProjectGrowth #WebDevelopment #DigitalMarketing #ClientService #BusinessGrowth #CreativeAgency

Let's bust a summer myth: the idea that everyone's wallet goes on vacation along with them. Not true. ☀️🍹 Sure, your customers might be swapping their laptops for sunscreen, but they're still ready to spend on the right stuff. Here are a couple of tips to keep your customers engaged: -Don’t let your social media snooze just because it’s beach season. Throw in some summer aesthetic posts, or even a live check-in from your favorite summer spot. -Introduce an irresistible summer promo. Make it timely, and they’ll bite. -Hit up local summer events or sponsor that epic annual BBQ. It's your chance to show off your brand while everyone’s out and about and in high spirits. Bottom line? Summer’s no time to slack…unless you’re on a hammock, after business hours, because we are too. 😉

It's the time of the year again! When we are kinda bombarded by year-end sales besides all the festivities 😛 Of course, it's also the time that many of us reflect on the year. And I was reflecting these few days—on the wins, the lessons, and the moments that made this year what it was. One thing that stands out for me is the connections I’ve made—the people I’ve met and the collaborations I’ve been part of. It’s these connections that remind me just how much we can achieve when we support each other. This year’s been tough for many of us, especially small business owners. And as we head into the new year, I’ve been thinking about how small actions can make a big impact. So I thought for this Christmas let's all lift each other up. Gift your fellow business owner's by: 🎯 Recommending a fellow business owner’s products or services to someone who needs it. 🎯 Buying something, even if it’s small—trust me, it means the world. 🎯 Sharing their story on social media or with friends who could benefit from what they offer. Sometimes, it’s these little acts of support that can ripple out in ways we don’t even realize. From Bailey and me, here’s wishing you a Christmas filled with love, joy, and meaningful connections. Let’s keep building each other up, this season and beyond. #Reflections #Business #StrongerTogether #BuildingConnections

Day in the Life of... School of Retail Co-founder and Director 1. Name/Role Title Aba Co-founder and Director 2. What do you love about your role? So many things! We get to meet so many amazing individuals and work in such a fun industry. But the opportunity to be creative in how we solve retailers’ issues is a real bonus for me and doing this alongside two very clever and inspiring people like Janelle and Claire is icing on the cake! 3. How do you start your day? I’m not really great at routine so there’s no real set way for how I start my day and it’s very much dependent on whatever I might have on. But my mornings will most often start with listening to music and a cup of tea. 4. What’s one thing you do as part of your role that people may not realise? I’ve been dubbed with a “Head of IT” title, which mainly just involves renewing Zoom subscriptions and the like to be honest, but I’ll take it! 5. How do you want your customers to feel? Like they’ve had a weight lifted off their shoulders and really content that they’re doing something of value for their teams by working with us. 6. How do you want your team to feel? Fulfilled and having fun. We all have other work/side projects/commitments in addition to SOR so making sure everyone is having fun and that the work we do is filling each of our cups in some way is important to me. I also get that we’re very lucky and privileged to be working in a space that we’re all genuinely passionate about so appreciating this as much as possible is key as well. 7. What’s your top tip for keeping your team engaged each day? To enjoy each other’s company. The main reason I work on SOR is because I really love hanging out with Claire and Janelle! So finding ways where we can have fun together in addition to getting work done helps keep us engaged as a team and actually also perform at our best.

We have a question for you: We create an 2-day event that happens for one weekend in the summer, once per year. We've talked to people who know about the summer festival, but don't feel a sense of urgency to purchase tickets early, or wait until the week of to see what the weather will be like, or see if they get any better offers that weekend before committing and purchasing tickets. This problem isn't contained to just us, this is very common with smaller events in the arts and culture sector, with events doing the majority of their sales the week of. So we ask, how do you create a sense of urgency in people for something happening 7+ months away in a culture where everything is targeted towards instant results and gratification? Curious for your thoughts.
