The truth about freelancing Yesterday I shared a post about how 4 months ago I hated my job, so I quit, now I’m a freelancer & absolutely loving my job again. Although I now have my passion back, that doesn’t mean freelancing ✨solves all your problems✨, it definitely has its downfalls. So let’s talk about the reality of being a freelancer —> it’s lonely, try to network as much as you can —> it’s overwhelming, set boundaries for yourself & your clients, you don’t have to work 24/7 —> you have to run every aspect of a business, it’s hard & always presents itself with new challenges —> imposter syndrome just comes with the package, you just have to work on ways to manage this —> along with that comes comparison, treat others in your space as coworkers, support & learn from them! —> it’s hard not to leave your house, but try to change your workspaces, don’t just look at the same 4 walls —> burnout is often inevitable, make sure you know your limits & allow yourself to rest —> you no longer have the Sunday scaries, you have them everyday instead & probably so many others Fellow freelancers, please leave some others below 💛 If you’re thinking about making the change & going freelance, just be aware that it’s not the perfect career & has its downfalls like every job. But personally, I’d rather deal with all of this whilst being in control of my working structure & clients. It’s only been 4 months, so let’s see if I think the same in the next few!

I think setting boundaries is the hardest thing! It's so easy to think 'ahh it'll only take 5 minutes'... then two hours later you've gone into a deep work hole by accident again. 😅

Loneliness and burnout can be so hard ☹️ but it’s worth it - so rewarding and it’s so exciting working with different people and projects!!
